2013: Halo 4 Fan Expansion Pack
  • Skill Ranks
  • Halo 4 Patch 1.1
  • Playlist Management done logically
  • Spartan Ops Episode 6-10 with vast improvements (I still have faith)
  • 2 New Map Packs (that have 2+ Small-Medium Arena Style Maps)
  • Spectator Mode
  • Double XP Weekends

Why have a spectator mode when they can't even get kill cams working correctly? Get your priorities straight.

I'm gonna go ahead and coin the term "Roach Baroque" right now since that new spartan ops location looks like it's something the Precursors made. Not only is it intricate, organic and washed-out, it's essentially halo-proof!

When everyone's using the term Roach Baroque in 2013 when next-gen games are riding 343's architectural dick and using that style you guys heard it here first!

Playlist Management done logically?

Bungie MM management was never the strong suit of their games. Different weapon starts in playlists, far too many playlists, 100 gametypes in some playlists usually with shitty settings.

Although it's far from perfect, I vastly prefer 343's matchmaking strategies.

So what's coming in 2013?

Halo 2 Anniversary (real anniversary would be 2014), ODST-esque expansion or Halo Wars-esque different genre game?

I could honestly see them coming out with a more complete Spartan Ops kinda of thing (By "complete" I mean instead of episodes each week, just a whole new campaign with your SO character)

I played Team Doubles/Snipers/BTB Objective in Halo 2-R, I don't like having my week long bliss with a playlist.

I want to hop on and play it.

yup, the last two specialization ranks seem slightly longer then 59 --> 60, in that its like 60-65k. a rank up is never much more then 20 or so matches away. thats cool.

EDIT: makes me wonder if we'll see more specializations (and perks/armor) down the road as dlc when the community begins to max out
I definitely think we will. At this rate, most people will hit SR130 by the time the first map pack of next year hits.

I'm just curious as to the kinds of mods they will have associated with them, if they even will. A lot of that stuff I feel would have to be programmed in or at least have the "hooks" in there from the get-go.

Oh Halo, AR is still overpowered. Yeah, I am saying it again.

And I'd like to be able to hop on and play King of the Hill not hop into a Obective playlist with 20 gametypes and hope that someone at sometime votes for the gametype I want to play.

Until I can put a mustache on my DMR's sight and perry the platapus painted on the weapon Halo won't be good enough for me.

Yeah, it's a great system in an ideal world with an infinite population (even a large one would be an improvement at this point).

Good thing that every gametype can support an entire playlist's worth of population and won't ever have any problem sticking aro-

*King of the Hill currently sitting at 1.9% total population*

"We're removing King of the Hill. It'll be back maybe someday."

Oh.

2007: Halo 3
2008: ODST
2009: Halo Wars
2010: Reach
2011: CEA
2012: Halo 4

Wow you are right

ODST Was 2009 wasn't it?

CEA was a remake of just the campaign, ODST was bite sized and Halo Wars was different enough for it to feel like we are starved of Halo or at least mainline Halo games!

Hell Reach had a terrible multiplayer component and so I didnt even really feel like that was a good Halo experience. Halo 4 isnt biting the multiplayer itch for me either.

To me it feels like we have had 3 Halo games in about 10 years. :(

We aren't seeing many unsubstantial changes though. The only things we are getting are new playlists (one at a time) and some small fixes (Which are sometimes caused by said fixes). Where are my objective gamemodes in BTB? Team doubles? Multi Team? These are all substantial parts of Halo imo.

Though 343 hasn't really screwed anything up big time with their updates, they haven't really done anything big either.

I don't see there being a Halo release in 2013, unless it's for the NextBox420 launch.

wait wait wait

what if they saved Halo CE MP is for the Xbox 720 in 2013, it's been so many years now that people will think it's a "new multiplayer" with features like timed weapons, arena maps, and powerups on the battlefield.
