Anime with excellent English dubs?

I used to love watching anime many years ago, and I was a purist who thought watching anime in English was blasphemous, and obnoxiously tried to convince my friends to watch their anime in Japanese even when they hated reading subtitles.

Then for some reason I changed. I started finding Japanese voices in anime annoying; the acting always sounds exaggerated and "the same" across all shows to me... I lost interest in anime and stopped watching it altogether.

It's been several years since I watched a single anime episode or movie (with the exception of Ponyo, which I absolutely adored). I think I'm ready to try getting into a new anime series, and checkout a movie or two... provided they have excellent English dubs.

Any recommendations? Preferably something recent (past 5 years), but if you strongly feel there is an older classic I missed that I should checkout, do recommend it (if it has a good English dub).

Below are some of my favorites:

Future Boy Conan
Cowboy Bebop
Berserk
FLCL
Trigun
Neon Genesis Evangelion

Movies:
Pretty much all of Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli
Akira
Ghost in the Shell (the first one)
Vampire Hunter D (both the original and Bloodlust)

I've seen a lot more than the above list, but their names escape me now.

Thanks in advance!

I think some of the voices in the FMA Brotherhood dub (Bradley, Scar) are pretty good, while others really hurt certain scenes (Father, Truth).

And impending Ocean vs. Funimation vs. Japanese "debate?"

I felt Welcome to the NHK was treated well with its english dub.

Additionally, I feel Outlaw Star has a pretty good english cast. I still vastly prefer the japanese, but it does a good job.

The Street Fighter 2 Animated Movie.

Watched a subbed version recently and good god it was aweful compared to the dub. They had Ryu doing friggin Bruce Lee sounds. The soundtrack was different and way worse.

After watching it I was really glad it was the dubbed version that I came across and watched when I was a kid and countless times since.

School Rumble's Japanese Dub is superior. So is The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya's.

Yu Yu Hakusho
Dragon Ball
DBZ(Preferably Kai, DBZ is rough early on but pretty great later).
Cowboy Bebop
One Piece(Funimation)

If you haven't seen Yu Yu Hakusho, get on that!

I'm serious. Unlike the Garzey's Wing suggestion, this is not a troll recommendation.

Wasn´t Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust originally produced in English? It wasn´t a dub, but had pretty good English VA.

I'm extremely disappointed in myself for not thinking of that immediately. Golden Boy's english cast is infinitely better than the japanese cast.

Disgaea had a good english dub...

But anyway beyond that Durarara!! dub, Evangelion movies, Naruto/Bleach.

I cant think of any dubs from Sentai Filmworks anime that would go in the category, maybe Ungo?

And from Bandai, Gundam Wing.

Gundam Wing - though this mainly hinges on Heero and does ruin the majority of other Gundam dubs because of how often they reuse cast members from old titles such as having the same guy be Quatre, Amuro, and Setsuna making him leading character in three full series.

Rin - OVA series but I really enjoyed the dub.

GTO - has some issues but overall I found it enjoyable.

KnM - if only for Michelle Ruff's amazing work as Chikane.

Genesis Of Aquarion - Apollo eng voice kicks the shit out of the JPN one in my mind as the rest of the cast does a solid job.
