I don't understand why they need to push computing power on something that uses the cloud for most it's shit.

The body of the Pixel is made from an anodized aluminum alloy to create a smooth and durable surface; vents are hidden, screws are invisible and the stereo speakers are seamlessly tucked away beneath the backlit keyboard.

Too bad the hinge and sharp corners look like shit.

How big is the internal 'SSD'?

doesn't make any sense. What is the incentive to spend $1200 on a web computer? Need more info.

The Verge says it's a "hair thinner" than a MBA, but it looks twice as thick??

I don't understand why Google still tries that hard with Chromebooks.

The low-cost Chromebooks are great. A fantastic little computer that does just about everything a traditional laptop can do at a fraction of the price.

This on the other hand...

A laptop as expensive as the 13" MBA but can only browser the internet.

WHA

Is this an Onion article? It has to be.

I am utterly baffled by the existence of this thing. Does Google think that its cloud services are actually enough to satisfy power users? Hint: The answer to that riddle is no.

Ehhh... That price point is horrible... Definitely wouldn't purchase that since it seems to go against what Chromebooks were all about.

I'll probably pick up the Samsung instead for playing around with, much easier to swallow that price tag versus this.

So Google is subsidizing the Nexus line with the suckers who buy this? Nice.
