Square Enix confirms a new Final Fantasy title for PS4 this E3

Naora helped conceptualize the story and characters of an original game with Nojima that would eventually be turned into FFX. He was also the lead producer and story designer of the Code Age project back in 2005.
The guy is amazingly talented.

Well certainly I want a quality game, but the quality they have been putting out does not warrant such a long development time. If it turns out to be an absolutely fantastic game then that's a different story.

Oh, I mean I don't want to be burnt out. At the very least, don't announce it till you have 1.5 years left or something in development. That way it feels spaced out.

This is absolutely true. Won't deny that at all. :)

Some speculate it's the reason Naora got saddled with the lowly Agito XIII (at the time, Magius, calm down!) instead of big-boy pants FFXIII.

Naora got the last laugh when Agito/Type 0 ended up legitimately blowing people away.
 
I'm not sure if it even makes sense to release Versus on PS3 anymore. Doesn't FF always release on the most powerful console at the time? My money is Versus on PS4.

What ever it is, it is SE's last chance in my eyes. Don't screw with me SE.

Do you belive any possability of a ff14 release on ps4 with somewhat PC type graphics?

I'd like to give it a go again sometime im thinking. Just thinking It might be nice to see this on ps4, not really intetested in playing it on my PC this time.

Think they will wait for initial reception before porting.

I think it'll happen, however right now the team is focused on finishing the PS3 version they promised back in 2009.

Wada & Yoshi-P today basically said they want it on PS4 but won't commit to it until the PC and PS3 versions are complete. It's feasible it could be ready around the PS4's launch though (they said the engine would be very easy to port to the PS4 architecture).
 
You know, Epic showed off the same UE4 demo too, but it looked even worse. Showing off Agni's Philosophy is still impressive, especially if it was actually running on a PS4.

Honestly it looked to have worse performance than what we'd seen in the original reveal of the Agnis demo, so it wouldn't surprise me if it was running on the PS4 dev hardware with the restricted RAM and all the restrictions that comes with.

If it isn't Versu XIII he was teasing, I hope it is FFXV (Tactics 2 is my dream).

Use the atb system or something evolved from that. Move away from FFXIII type battles. I'd prefer control over all my characters. Make movement matter, an example would be Legend of Heroes: TitS. If I'm not allowed full control of my party, gambits is a must. I want to control my companions. Controlled character can't have gambits on. Completely new world and lore. Exploration like FFXII or DQVIII.
 
I still can't over how embarrassing that SE section was from the PS4 conference. Also gray hair Hashimoto is the Final Fantasy brand director... you know you done fucked up right?
 
What if FF15 is handled by a "new guy", much like FF14:ARR? Maybe someone credited in the Agnis video is going to be in charge of the project.

Wanted to play it but on PS3 it look so bad compare to PC .
So i hope they plan to bring out it on PS4 fast since i going to get one before i upgrade my PC .
Hopefully since PS4 easy to program for i love forward to seeing this new FF game coming out soon .
 
Assuming the game they're talking about isn't a Versus XIII rebrand, I hope the E3 reveal is more than just a logo, some concept art, and ideas.
 
Did anyone else notice how Hashimoto said in the presentation "the development of a Final Fantasy title" and not "of a new Final Fantasy title"? Versus it is!

Yeah, that was just idiotic IMO.

I honestly just can't get excited about most long-running sequels these days. There are a few that stand out but Final Fantasy isn't one of them.
