Revive Retronauts Kickstarter (12k goal - $25k funded so far)

We'd like to produce an entire year of new Retronauts episodes, released semi-monthly (that's twice a month) with three regular hosts and a rotating fourth chair -- and an ever-changing guest to sit in this rotating chair. All told, if this KickStarter reaches its minimum amount, we'll give you kind folks 26 new episodes to dig into, with the possibility of more on the way. But -- with the help of some extra fundage -- we'd like to do a hell of a lot more than that.

Welp. There goes my Kickstarter cherry. I'm in for $30 for the DVD, and the SHOW, of course!

Yeah. Already they have to print more than 100 DVD's if it goes to both the $30 and the $80 levels. :)
 
Maybe it's all the other projects I've seen, but 12k seems awfully low for a goal. Bob/Ray/Jeremy must be doing this for free.
 
So so happy Bob, Jeremy and Ray are doing this. Retronauts was in many ways the heart and soul of 1up in the end and it's great they're hoping to keep it going.

Sad the rewards are US only, us people in the UK love us some Retronauts too, but nontheless, getting it resurrected for a third time would be reward enough!

$50 pledged.
 
The shipping only to the US decision has turned me off.

The kickstarters that I've seen [and more so the ones I've backed] just asked for an extra $10 for worldwide shipping, but oh well.
 
Damn, if I had a $150 to blow, I would back that tier, and request a Xenosaga episode....By the way, has Retronauts ever done such an episode?
 
I'll pitch in before it's all done. Gotta give back to the podcast that gave me so much and wants to give me more. Wanted to opt for the DVD eventually but it's US only, aww.

I'm not really sure where the U.S. shipping only stipulation came from, but I don't see why we couldn't work around that. I'll consult.
 
I put in my backing, but question. The $150 tier for suggesting an episode topic doesn't have the $80 tier rewards so they're mutually exclusive, huh?

I feel like I would want those items more than potentially being unable to come up with an episode topic...

That is a good question!

I'll back it as long as you get someone to complain about the lack of Wii VC titles compared to 2007 twice a month!
 
I wish 1UP Show / Co-op could kickstart a revival. I am afraid of how much I might end up pledging if that were to happen.

PS: in for $10 to keep a good thing going.
 
I'm so happy to see this. I would've probably pitched in $300 if all the slots hadn't been taken, so my wallet thanks whoever put the limitation at four.

Yeah thats really annoying, wouldn't mind getting in on the shirt :(. I'm happy donating a fair amount to this, Retronauts has always been my favorite Podcast.
 
We WILL be shipping stuff internationally for probably a $10-12 surcharge. We'll update the page tomorrow with details.

I was a huge fan of Retronauts but I feel like everything has kind of been done? Over the many years this podcast was active, they discussed nearly every worthwhile topic in retro gaming. Still, good luck to the lads.
 
oh man, now I wish I had a credit card. would love to donate (i don't care about rewards, the show is reward enough) but only have paypal which I found out in that other thread that Kickstarter apparently doesn't support :(

I hope you guys reach your goal! Lord knows I need more retronauts in my life. I'll see if I can work something out.

Edit: and holy shit I don't think I had ever actually seen Bob before. He looks way different than I imagined.

Yeah, it's a bad move. Pledging $30 to get a sticker as en exclusive keepsake seems reasonable.
