The fact that we are yet to see a screenshot of FFX-2 makes me think that it will be a winter release. I wish it would come sooner but I'm really just happy that we should get it this year

Yes, I know, same here. Before a week ago, I didn’t even expect it this year. Although now since SE has made an official announcement, opened up a site and released the trailer I’ve been really itching to play X again.

Of course will wait for the release, but it’s hard to. I’ve found myself watching and listening to FF X videos/music on Youtube.

To be honest I don't really mind the wait. I've got a ridiculous amount of games in my backlog that I need to get through, and FFX and the like aren't the games I want to rush through.

Between now and September I don't think a lot of note (for me anyway) releases with the exception of The Last of Us and potentially Tales of Xillia, so I should be able to get through a lot of games by then.

For X: dark aeons, expert grid (pretty awesome actually), Penance
For X-2: the last mission mostly, although some other stuff too

Let me cross-post this from the other thread:

Here's what we know.

• 2013 Western Release
• International Editions for both games. X-2 Last Mission, however, has not been confirmed specifically.
• PS3 version contains both games on one disc and is $40
• Vita versions are separate and there are no pricing details
• CG seems to be updated, but cropped to fit widescreen.
• Still seems to being using 2 sets of character models, one lower poly and one higher poly, although both are updated. (One for cutscenes, one for battles & lesser cutscenes?)
• No significant changes to gameplay

Here's what we don't know

• Whether we will have the option to watch the CG in 4:3
• Anything about dual language or lip-sync
• Anything about adding animations in non-cg lesser cutscenes
• Anything about cross buy or cross save
• If anything will be available digitally
• Anything about UI changes
• Anything about an Asian version similar to FFXIII

Killing Penance is the only unfinished business I have with FFX

He is not the problem. Dark Anima/Yojinbo/Magus Sisters are far more complex to fight (there's always Zanmatou if you're stuck).

To get to Penance, you have to kill them all, so ya Penance is a boss and a way to that thing is the bossy way

I'm not fully certain, but Last Mission sometimes seems to be considered an additional and separate thing to 'International Content'. While "International Content" has been confirmed, Last Mission specifically has not. One reason for doubt is that it has voiced scenes that were never dubbed.

It's the easy way out but it ruins the experience of actually fighting them. It's far more rewarding to spend 15-20 minutes killing a boss than to use a cheap shot like Zanmato

I realize they've announced a 2013 release - whether or not they can meet it is another matter altogether.

FFX & X-2 are not new games, I don't see what's so doubtful about a 2013 release. If they say it's a 2013 release, it'll BE a 2013 release worldwide. KHHD is a whole different deal with all of its new content (+ they probably don't want to release it in the Summer, so there's that timing issue as well).

I Hope that it will release this summer because lightening returns is supposed to be release before the end of the year and i dont them to be too close on calendar.

I don't remember any SE developed game having a WW launch, especially FF (maybe XIV?). Their latest HD collection (KH) and old game remake (DQ) all got released first in Japan. What makes you think this would be different?
