I was planning on buying it, but then I saw some really negative comments at amazon.co.jp ...

3 out of the 4 reviewers give it one star and say that it's boring, the controls suck, the graphics aren't that great and that's it too little content for the price for example...

Let's see what kind of impression that 30 minute vid will give me.

Edit: Just saw, still not sure what to think!

The WarioWare characters are probably my favorite collection of Nintendo Designs ever. Despite all of them virtually being little more than quirky mascots, they've all got eyecatching and personality filled designs.

I'd really like to see them brought into the larger Mario universe, like Kart and the Sports games, instead of relying on random mooks.

Completely agree. Watching these videos reminds me how much I like these characters. Just love the humor of the WarioWare universe.

Honestly haven't been keeping up with this game, but definitely interested in it now. Probably pick this up whenever I get a wii u.

lol, game's been out for like a day; I think it's probably too early to be concerned about Amazon reviews at this point. They can't possibly be honest assessments.

Great, thanks. I'd like to see more than just a minute or two, anyway!

Man, the music and art are seriously great. It's just like Nintendo Land in that regard, as well as in the depth of the individual games, seemingly. The difference is G&W seems to have a much stronger single player focus. Am I wrong in that assumption?

Nintendo works in really subtle ways. They work on you in a deeper realm sometimes. People just need more time with this to fully understand what it is truly offering here. Game & Wario is going to be a party blast, the ultimate social game. I am going to love this game with random friends and people that come over my house. I'll be renting a house with two friends and we always have new people coming in and out. I always want to play video games with all the friends of my friends and at the parties. With Game & Wario I see just everyone getting into it and having fun. Whatever that picture drawing, guess the picture crazy game is, that is just going to be silly fun that anyone can jump into. People will get a kick out of watching for the mom to come into the room(through the window, door, or like Ringu out the TV) while another person is trying to play video games and avoid being caught. That one where other people get to watch the screen and try to find you as you sneak around on the gamepad and try to steal fruit. It's like some crazy Nintendo trip Where's Waldo?

Really think this game has potential to be an ultimate social and party game. If people would just imagine playing this game with friends, family and in fun environments, I think we could all get what this is about. This game is here to compliment the whole library, there will be our awesome epic RPG(Monolith's X) probably the ultimate action game experience with Bayonetta 2, and even The Wonderful 101 with its intense looking action but also co-op so for when you got a group of people ready to tackle a big action adventure with you. Even The Legend of Zelda is going way more the Demon/Dark Souls route(which is really saying Zelda going back to it's own roots).

What are Gatcha items?

Gatcha items are little capsule toys you unlock whenever you do certain things in each of the minigames, kinda like the medals in Nintendo Land or whatever. Some of them contain character bios or game tips, some of them contain individual microgames, and I think others are little toys you can mess around with like the ones in WarioWare DS.

There are 240 gatchas in all; "over 100" of them are microgames, and around 70 of them are character/game cards, if the Iwata Asks interview is to be believed, and there's some sort of bonus unlockable if you manage to collect them all.

This game looks gorgeous, but I don't want to buy a Wii U

I want one, but I'll wait how the Yoshi game turns out

I honestly wouldn't pay any attention to early Amazon Japan reviews. There are a surprising number of people who troll new releases at launch.

1 Wario reviewer has given every single video game he has ever reviewed (on any format) 1 star.

Another seems to alternate and either gives a full 5 stars or a 1 star to everything. For instance he gave Wario, Soul Sacrifce, Dragon quest VII, Metal Gear Rising, The World Ends with You and Kingdom Hearts HD 1 star and every single Wii U game 1 star..except Monster hunter.

Although the lack of reviews at Amazon does point to the game bombing in sales.

Why's the stand on backwards?

Unless I put the stand on my Virtual Boy the wrong way...

The pictured way is technically correct but it works fine either way.

I honestly think, in terms of a showcase of the Wii U Game Pad, that Game & Wario may be more effective than Nintendo Land. The Amazon reviews probably are trolling the fact that the game shows you in-universe credits (featuring 'Wario' characters as the creators) after walking you through the first stages of 10of the games in single player, which takes a little over an hour, but after that there is still a ton of stuff to do, in unlocking the other 6 games and all the other stages/modes in Single player.

Man... 9-Volt's mom is hot. Will get this just for the micro-games within the mini-game (within the game).

Her name is 5-Volt and
she's some sort of TV possessing demon
. And just be aware, there's only 22 micro games in Gamer, according to Iwata Asks.

Played some multiplayer last night.

Design is really fun with two people competing to draw the shapes. Especially when one person is American and most of the measurements are in centimeters. Mwahaha.

Bowling is fun with two people too. The challenges you have to do to 'complete' the tutorial are quite tricky though!

We didn't really understand what we had to do with Disco, so we quit.

Pictionary/Sketch was good fun and frantic.

Island was good fun to play together and we were cursing the seagull that comes in at the end of most rounds by the end of it. The stage designs were really solid, I thought. There were four in total.

Fruit was cool and more tricky than I thought. So embarrassing to have followed a NPC for 3 minutes thinking it was a real person. It has three stages (city, museum, and pool).

Most games have multiple modes, stages, and/or clear conditions. I haven't experimented with everything yet, but I feel like there is definitely 7~10 play hours to get through everything.

I'm very anxious to play, unfortunately i'm kinda broke, so i'll wait till next week, but i'm hyping myself a lot for it. I think it will be the best Wiiu game till now. Ashley looks like a real must-play.
