All I can think of...
I really dislike that they are bringing back normal healing items if the video is indicative of that. Being able to have like 99 of a full heal item was some dumb shit in Demon's Souls.
It's definitely worth it. In my opinion, one of the games of this generation that everyone should experience. Just a brilliantly crafted game. Prepare your ass.Ok, I think I'm going to head out and finally purchase Dark Souls for the PS3. Saw some copies of Demon Souls floating around a Disc Replay, but we'll see how my Dark Souls journey goes.
I agree about the walking animation. It does in fact look weird.
Also, I don't know if this has been mentioned, but there aren't any damage-numbers shown upon hitting an enemy. (Small change I noticed)
Estus Flask is returning.
Besides, you can have 99 humanity in Dark Souls without much effort.
I gif'd the weird walking, cause it's bothering me a lot:

I know the Estus Flask is coming back but being able to trivially buy and hold 99 healing items in Demon's Souls was the worst thing about Demon's Souls and I hope that never returns.
The best thing is it looks like we might get actual capes now.

"This looks good I guess...but, the character walks really weird."
You guys are crazy, but that's why I come here.
Maybe because they were never helpful to begin with?

The game is still a long way from coming out. Walking animations may change in that time.It does look pretty stilted...
Definitely helpful, you could tell exactly how much damage different attacks and different weapons did. Also, being able to tell the exact damage differences of counters, direct vs indirect hits, 1H vs 2H backstabs/ripostes and instability damage is very helpful. Hopefully numerical damage values are in DkS II.

Humanity was a similar problem yes, but at least you couldn't roll up and trivially buy an infinite amount of them. You would have to farm them, which is something I don't do. Preferably the only way to heal would be the Estus flask and nothing else.
I can already see a GabeN cape.Mod community is gonna make some kickass custom textures for the capes in this game.
And how do you know you can buy these healing items? Jumping the gun.
As expected, this looks exactly the same as Dark Souls. What a waste of talent.
=(
It looks like a great game, but I'm going to skip it. It's very Dark Soulsy and not even Demon's Soulsy (okay I'll stop).
Is the whole game set in a particular castle? That would be awesome but I doubt it.
It's IGN, they still run things around there the old way. Everything is taken way too seriously, and done in a very cold and calculated way. They are a review/preview machine. It's probably pretty hard to be enthused when you have to stay so close to the lines in everything you do.Wow, they look so unenthused in that video. Never watched any IGN stuff before. Are they always like this? They look like they are on a batch of bad heroin.

For me personally, I think it looks fine. Does it look a little funky? Sure. The walking animation is not what I'm concerned about in a Dark Souls game. If they make another fantastic and astonishingly deep game, the character could crab walk for all I care.
hahah that interviewer has the best blank expression ever. After every death he just kind of sits there like "this is supposed to be fun?"
It's the "I don't know how to be on camera" face.I noticed that too. he's got this "I'm tripping mushrooms" look on his face.

Okay, more serious impressions of the footage and trailer.
I do think the game looks really rough right now. Considering they talked about making a brand new engine for a huge graphical boost, and having tons more staff than Dark Souls, etc.... It doesn't really look representative of that now. The movements don't look as tight, the combat looks rather off, the rest just looks like... Dark Souls.
I can see what the team is going for this time though. More set pieces, more variety, interesting shit happening in various stages, but I just hope the core of the game isn't weaker. The actual level design and methodical progression in the series is what is most important really.
Every time I see that walking gif quoted again...
OK IT LOOKS REALLY WEIRD.
That's obviously not final, I'd imagine.
