Why do we assume that Masaki's soul is still out there? I thought the fact that Ichigo has the hollow from Masaki's soul that she sacrificed herself completely thus just giving him everything she had. He never actually saw her die, I thought he just blacked out and then woke up and she was gonezo.

fake edit: Does this mean the daughters have powers too? Beyond just sensing spiritual stuff. Or is it a case of "ohhh only one person in the family inherited the uber-power" and everyone else is just kind of has tertiary powers.

Any fan art for it out yet?

I forgot the reason why people are calling the Quincies from the Bllod War arc "ghost nazis" (I get the nazi part, btw), but if they're somehow supposed to be dead, wouldn't that somehow also qualify Masaki?

Hopefully fan arts look better than the actual manga. Shouldn't be too hard.

Who needs art, when you have deep character interaction?

HOW. I WAS JOKING!

And yes, it does look better than the cover art.

Angry Grimace

Two cannibals are eating a clown. One turns to the other and says "does something taste funny to you?"

They're girls in a manga.

Tell me what I did miss though,
we had the wrap up with the flashback (that wasn't badly done btw) and some "OMG YOU'LL LEARN THE REAL TRUTH BEHIND YOUR MOTHER DEATH!!!!"
Not exactly packed of content.

How Isshin got back his powers.
When Masaki moved away from the Ishidas.
The start of romance between Masaki and Isshin.
Ryuuken´s giving up on quincies and we know Uryuu´s mother.

I will say pretty packed with content. FYI content is not just speech bubbles.

What was so good about this one piece chapter?

Very little happened and that´s insignificant to the overall story. And yet you say Bleach lacked content.

Bleach

Seems like Aizen wasn't involved with Masaki's death so I'm guessing Bach was somehow.
That theory has gotten a lot of traction lately.

I had a good laugh.
Haha

If Masaki was killed by a quincy arrow her soul will be lost for ever. I guess that will give Ichigo a huge motivation to destroy them.

Karin has riatsu enough to see plus souls and hollows. Yuzu can´t see them at least she could not before the time skip. I am hoping that Karin turns out to be a shinigami.

There are some, but for the most part, not really.

If you want a great female character start reading Soul Eater. Medusa is by far the best female character of any manga i have read and still read. That´s plenty of manga, and Soul Eater is a shonen.

Gangsta 20

Pretty insane chapter. It starts so nice and slow with Alex new job as a singer and then right on the second page, boom, torture and dead children.

Using some screwed up little school boy as Twilight Hunter is all kinds of wrong, but damn if he isn't good. In a sick and twisted way.

Bleach 536
This week Kubo teaches us, once again, that if you have a plot hole, just retcon it. Does anyone actually respect this writing? It's awful and shameless.

Naruto 629
Villains' motivations are still hard for me to believe.

One Piece 708
Cavendish is stronger than I expected.

One Piece
Don Chinjao and his grandchild's "real goal" has me intrigued. They probably aren't there for Ace's fruit. And the fact that they have numbers like Iron Boy Scotch makes me wonder if they're allies of Kaido.

And I wonder if Rebecca has anything to do with Law. The only mentioning of Rebecca in pirating is Edward Low's ship, the Rebecca. And Edward Low is who Law is based off of so... maybe?

And the author needs to just finish this B Block battle. We all know the King's punch will hit the wrong person, Bellamy will heroically lose and Mr. Troll will win because of his broken devil fruit.

Naruto
Awful. The author couldn't even be bothered to tell the Rin flashback properly. And now Rin had a tailed beast and Obito knew the whole time? Meh.

And silly Kakashi, you're not skilled enough in Talk-no-jutsu for it to work reliably.

Bleach
What a cute relationship. I suppose next chapter is where we learn that the Vandereich were to blame for her death so as to give Ichigo motivation to hate them. Or maybe it was Aizen's fault again and he finally did something to Ichigo personally lol.

Do any of you read much Josei or Seinen? Any recommendations for lesser known, quality series? I read Berserk, Vinland Saga, Vagabond, Billy Bat, Oyasumi Pun Pun, I Am a Hero, and Zetman, but something thoughtful and less actiony would be nice. Preferably, but not limited to, great Josei stuff 'cause I don't read much of that.

So I assume you are fine with slice of life manga in general and not just josei manga?

A Bride's Story
Harukana Machi-E
Baka and Gogh
Ping Pong
Heart of Thomas
Helter Skelter
River's Edge

It would be interesting if Kaido decided Doflamingo has outlived his usefulness and sent them to kill him.

I'm reminded that all of the (former?) top three Shounen series have special destiny children as their protagonist. Boo...

Anyway, good Bleach chapter. The One Piece chapter is a little tame but the head-butt fighting power is pretty fun to see.

God damn it I laughed too hard at this.

Kakashi is going to talk no jutsu the end of the war isn't he?

I am sad that the Bleach miniarc is coming to the end since it has actually been fun to read. Too bad this wasn't Isshin's series.

One Piece is crazy as usual. Something tells me we aren't even going to finish the tournament before everything goes to hell.

F-- to everything. See you guys next week.

Plot hole? Da fuq?

I would consider it a plot hole that
Ichigo's mother could die to such a weak hollow now that we know she is a quincy. They're about to explain "the real reason" why she died. Strikes me as bullshit, personally.
Perhaps saying that he has a love for pulling plot devices out of his ass is more accurate.

A manga that revolves around an old-fashioned all-night food stall, the various dishes that the stall owner prepares to suit the tastes of different customers, and the joys, griefs, trials and tribulations of his faithful patrons.

Don't expect much action or anything from this manga, it's exactly what the summary says.
And you know what? It's surprisingly touching and heartwarming, I was really moved by some situations.
All we do is hearing the patrons' stories, talking about their lives, states of mind as they eat their favorite dishes.
It's captivating despite the art, I read all the chapters available in one sitting.
It's as if you were in the restaurant, with people eating, the owner smoking his cigarette while listening carefully to them... You just feel like all these characters are your buddies.
Genuine people speaking their minds, interacting with each other... This is great.

Shinya Shokudou is good foods manga. I haven't kept up with it, but looks like I haven't missed that many chapters. Good manga always end up having slow translations.

survivor,
I've read a couple of those which gives your recommendation credibility in my eyes. Thank you!

ColossalLazy,
I'm a big fan of horror manga, and have heard of this. Is it quality in the realm of horror?

brotkasten
I've read most of Asano Inio's works besides Umibe no Onna no Ko, but I was listing ongoing series. (Not that I want more ongoing series recommended..)

Kurita,
I've seen six of those. I'll check out the others. Thank you!

....You do realize that she pretty much lost a lot of her power when she had her life saved, right?
