Definitely fake.
At the beginning of the video where the PS4 logo pops up you see a real quick flash of the PSEye that started in the Announcement PS4 trailer right after showing the PS4 logo.
100% fake. Well made but fake.
Sony wouldnt make a stupid mistake like that.

That's some good 'CGI' but it has nothing like the people in the trailer from this thread, who seem a lot harder to fake.
This. If this thing is real then you better be able to dim or completely turn off that LED strip. Especially if they want it to be taken seriously as a streaming media or Bluray playback device. I like the design though and wouldn't mind if this was the final product minus the Fast and the Furious lighting that would be a huge distraction when trying to play story driven games in the dark or watch a movie seriously.

But didn't Sony already say the PS4 wouldn't play Audio CDs and this video prominently shows a "Compact Disc" logo on it. Would they put the logo there just so it would play PS1 games from disc? Not sure why people consider the LED bar to be that big of an issue, like it can't be turned off or maybe it only stays on on startup.
This could easily be an earlier version before they had final approval. I work in design and we have multiple versions of files all the time that are reviewed and edited by a number of people.
Same thing for the "compact disc" appearing on the box. They were likely working on this commercial before the final design/features were even confirmed.
