To be honest I'm far more hyped for Assetto Corsa & CARS but I need a flimsy reason to buy another MS branded console and PGR 5 is that reason.

Wondering though. We know that Sony are releasing 2 racing games at the end of the year.( admittedly,a little mind boggling), We have GT6 on PS3 and Driveclub on PS4. Sim racer for 'last gen' and arcade racer for 'next gen'.
So, how about if the roles are reversed with MS?
Forza 5 on Xbox 720 and PGR5 on Xbox 360. Sim racer for 'next gen' and arcade racer for 'last gen'.

That would be kind of awesome.

PGR 5 wouldn't need the hyper detail that is required for SIM racers, so it could still work within the limitations of the 360 while Forza would benefit from the next-gen boost.

That would be terrible.
And pgr needs a lot of detail for those incredible looking city tracks, weather effects, dynamic illumination and cars (pretty sure it will use the same assets as FM).

Pgr is what ms needs as graphical showpiece for Xbox next.

No one and I mean NO ONE wants PGR5 (or FM5) on Xbox 360. Don't argue, I only state facts. Next gen PGR or don't bother! :mad:

I do believe you've lost the plot completely.

How can a sim racer possibly appeal to people who just want to get into cars and drive? Especially around (relatively, compared to cities) boring tracks?

I think it's time to hand in your membership card, sal.

And keep in mind, the biggest reason we didn't get full day/night cycles in all environments for PGR4 is because of disc storage space... putting another PGR on 360 would be suffocating the series (again).

That's Sony, though. GT5 could've smashed the crap out of FM4, but instead they screwed it with a clunky menu system, ridiculous loading times, standard cars, screen tearing and the most pathetic "paint" "system" ever. PD are known for making stupid decisions.

MS are known for having a PGR game at the launch of every one of their consoles.

Well, the information I got was PGR5 or something in that realm. So if it's Forza 5 instead, some insiders will have failed me lol.

You see, that's the thing. I want FM to feel special. I don't want Forza plastered over every game. Forza Horizon, Forza PGR, Forza Watersports or whatever.

They all then become samey you know?
The same sounds, the same handling, the same customization, the same visuals.the same,the same,the same.

People might argue, what's wrong with that?

I don't know, when I get a new game that isn't FM, I want it to have it's own identity, it's own quirks, it's own style. I don't want it to feel 'familiar'....

I didn't own a 360 or an Xbox...but I know this series, it will look amazing.

Everywhere is doing Dubai lately though. GRID 2 will have it for example. Mid-East circuits and cities are "In".

I'd say top priority should be Liverpool would be fun since there's a lot of wide roads and hilly areas to wind around.

Plus, the ultimate tribute to Bizarre Creations as a bonus as Liverpool was the city they always wanted to do (Since it was their home) and almost got it in Blur 2 till Activision shut them down.

Otherwise, Lisbon might be fun and spectacular near the port areas. Austin could be a good spot with spectacular scenery as well. Milan was done well in GRID and could be used in a fun way in PGR. There's a lot of possibilities. Though I hope they don't go too narrow like St. Petersburg. Moscow was way more fun in PGR 2.
