Last night was another great episode. I loved how Amy tried to help Sheldon cope with his OCD's. I actually thought for a second she might succeed though I prefer the way it turned out in the end. It never really dawned on me how great Amys job goes along with Sheldon's messed up psyche. The parts between Leonard and Penny were meh. Raj's parts were great though, especially when he was trying to impress his awkward girlfriend. Loved how she wasn't mad in the end as I thought she might be.

Would have been funny if Bob woke up in bed and started to talk about some silly dream he had where he used to be a scientist on TV only to find Sheldon next to him.

Weakest one of the season IMO. I know it's unfair, but I was a little uncomfortable watching all of the scenes with Bob Newhart.

It's funny because who the hell in CBS thought that bob Newhart is relevant at all in this day and age ;)

Newhart is still funny. And if it gets people to see his old stuff, then it worked.

And the "wat?" was that you called him Bob Hope in the other post.

This. I don't know if he delivered his lines that way on purpose or he's getting way too up there in age. Just made me feel uncomfortable as well, that's exactly what I was thinking last night.

I thought Newhart was pretty good on tonight's episode. The Raj stuff was better but overall I thought the episode was pretty good.

The line "what do you two talk about?" was hilarious.

Wife and I watched the new ep last night, both were roaring with laughter at times. NO issue with Newhart at all. Very funny.

It's been an ongoing process, but it's becoming more and more obvious that most characters on this show become caricatures of themself.

I still like it, but it has lost something after season 4/5...

Try season 2/3. This show is made for the masses and thus, mass consumption.

Great episode, Howard's impressions were hilarious.
Not digging the Raj storyline though, really don't like that woman he's dating.

Always seeing Raj with some kind of alcoholic beverage is getting tiresome... they should come up with an arc that releases him from his phobia already. Just as they did with Sheldon's fear of birds...

This episode was freaky on a personal level, when we let women play D & D with us all they wanted to do was make their characters have sex with the guys... and it's not like most of them weren't hooking up for real?

Me and my friends found a carnal guide to D and D online when we were 12 or so.......it was fucked up

More so considering it isn't the alcohol that does it, it's just a placebo.

Liked the last episode. Wolowitz's impressions were hilarious. Was happy to see some growth with Raj and Sheldon. Was getting sick of their crap til now.

December 16, 2009. 4:00 AM. THE LIGHT FIELD is the force. The mind. That guides. Controls.
I read the news earlier tonight that the season finale would feature a major cliffhanger.
And what precisely was the cliffhanger? I spent the entire episode waiting for one and it never happened. Raj can finally talk without alcohol? That's a revelation. Character evolution. Not a cliffhanger. Leonard going away? Again not a cliffhanger.
I was expecting something "major" like Penny/Leonard proposing. Or someone being pregnant.

A decent enough episode (I laughed out loud at the Stephen Hawking rolling off the boat joke) but the climax was somewhat of a letdown. A good season though overall. I recently re-watched every season in a massive marathon and I still think the show peaked at season 2. It's still good and entertaining television. I'll always be a fan of the show. This season in particular has had some really strong and hilarious episodes. There were a couple that were somewhat weak but most were fairly decent. I look forward to season 7. I'm almost certain I'll be watching this show until it finally ends.

According to what I've read the show will continue onto a seventh season (at the very least) though with stellar and consistent twenty million viewer ratings I would expect even more after that. They'll probably take it to season 10 before it ends. What did the rest of you think of the finale?
