MS marketing director: "We are going to kill Sony at E3!"

Well yeah.

Crackdown > Infamous
Halo > Killzone
Gears > Uncharted
Viva Pinata > LBP
Banjo < Ratchet
PGR > Motorstorm
Forza sucks. GT sucks.
Alan Wake > Heavy Rain

I mean, I can keep going, but that's just in my opinion. Does that mean the Sony games sucked? No, not really (Heavy Rain and Killzone 2 did) but this myth that Microsoft has no first party games is laughable.

1/10

didnt believe you for a second

He can make the adaptation game....err movie about it

I am expecting no less from MS at E3 that they are not going to drop a regular bomb, but a NUCLEAR BOMB.

My predict:
Dead Rising 3 (exclusive)
Morror edge 2 (co publish, so exclusive on Xbox One)
FIFA 14 (3 months exclusive on xbox One)
COD Ghost (3 months exclusive on xbox One)

New Gears
Halo 5
Rare games (banjo kazooie and PD and Killing Instinct)
Just Cause 3
PGR 5
lots of other.

Oh god not this again. You would think people would learn the first time round.

How many of those first party titles are they using? Not many since the console launched. Viva Pinata and Banjo have died, Halo has fallen off a cliff, Crackdown has disappeared and Gears is now being milked (should have ended at 3 IMO)

I'm an Xbox 360 owner and I'm disappointed by their lack of productivity with their own titles.

From the ones you have listed on Sony's side I think most of them have had releases in the last year or 2 and are going strong. I guess that's why people say MS has no first party games is simply due to them not really releasing many.

Oh god not this again. You would think people would learn the first time round.

atleast they are not betting accounts. they learned a bit.....

for example: just because ms has money doesn't mean they will make a monster system+kinect and sell it for 199. and they didn't. like they didn't get Fifa to be exclusive.

At this point I don't care if they got Kingdom Hearts 3 exclusive. If they keep the DRM and used game blocking, and always on kinect, I won't be buying it. Simple as that.

I own all systems and have played all these series - and even though I'm not remotely impressed by the Xbone so far, I have to agree with almost everything in that list except Alan Wake and Heavy rain. Would call that one a draw.

But comparing Gears with Uncharted is not really relevant. One is an adventure game. The other is balls to the walls shooting goodness. Viva Pinata and LBP is also an apples to oranges comparison. The rest is ok.

Microsoft's arrogance is really off-putting. Even if it were justified, it's still inappropriate.

..And a herd of unicorns come to earth on UFos.

Eh, they're just trying agitate PS fans and drive their own into a frenzy. And yes it is a product of arrogance but it just makes things more interesting. It is reminiscent of the attitude Forza developer Turn 10 showed while referencing GT.

If the perception is based around class, then Sony (and their first parties) has shown more of it up until now.

E3 will be great no doubt but my decision of not buying Xbone first was made during the unveil and I doubt they can change that even with a plethora of brilliant titles.

I wish this would happen just to see Microsoft's stocks after the announcement.

I mean if we are being real about it he only picked a few games and missed out quite a few big sony franchises. Plus the fact Alan Wake isnt really an exclusive

But hey...all opinions

Ugh, shut up already.

I don't know how anyone can like or condone what they've been saying.

Arrogant and annoying.

Just show games.

This is good. This means competition. This means they want to go to battle and fight for our dollars ... whether they succeed is a different question, but this is good!

I'd much rather have them talking shit about each other and hyping up their conferences than telling me I need to get a second job. THAT was something that could never be beat in the arrogance department. They weren't insulting their competition (which is good), they were insulting their customer (which is bad).

I'm glad they are showing confidence in their products. Whether those products sell me on an XO is another question though.

Convince me MS.

If Sony shows Final Fantasy and The Last Guardian I don't think there's anything Microsoft could show to beat that outside of Half Life 3.

I wouldn't put FF Vs and TLG in the same category as HL3. Unless that category is 'missing'.

You make my day, I need to smile a bit, thanks :)
You don't really have played any of that games, I'm pretty sure ;)

Ps I played ALL the game in that list, got platinum and all the achievements

You can head on over to the Show Us your gaming setup thread.

I'm near the start of it. Old photo, but almost all those games are there.

I think Heavy Rain, Forza and GT are the only ones I don't own. I've platinumed Heavy Rain, but only demoed the other 2.

Hate racing Sims.

But hey...all opinions

If we're going to be 'real' about it, objectively speaking (meta-score) only two of the ones he pointed out are considered better (Halo and PGR) all of Sony's other titles scored better than the Microsoft equivalent. But it's a subjective opinion, and that's all that matters, not sure why so many people are quoting him.

this is IGN and I am not surprised

IGN is making lots of clicks and money on using bias to pander to various groups.

They separate IGN into several brand-specific subgroups that have the editorial goal of being positive to [insert brand here] in order to get as many clicks and community members as possible.

Just tried to line them up as best I could.

Sony doesn't really have an Alan Wake in the same way Microsoft doesn't have a Heavy Rain or LBP.

Uncharted is a third person shooter. A bit of climbing doesn't change that.

"Mirror's Edge 2 and Titan exclusives" and "DRM dropped" are incompatible.

What fantasy world do you live in?

To be fair both games involve you spending a fair amount of time behind waist-high cover, looking at crumbling architecture and shooting things in the head. I like both of them, they gave me some of the best moments this gen, but after 8 games of doing exactly that across both franchises, I'm ready for something new.

As for the rest of the exclusives, the only one I played was Heavy Rain, which I played through once and traded in. It had a lot of potential and I'm interested in the next one, but I can't see myself ever wanting to play it again.

All in all, for me it's about which console has the best new games that aren't faceshooters, MMOs, sports, racing or motion controls. So far Watch Dogs and Deep Down have caught my interest.
