I'm not keeping my hopes in check at all. I'm expecting absolute nuclear bombs. I have fears that all sorts of shitty things could happen, but I'm leaning towards the positive, because of a few facts.

A) Nintendo has tons of money.

B) They recently used that money to secure Sonic exclusivity. Fucking SONIC. That is a special kind of desperation. How much did that cost them?

C) There has never been a bad 3D Mario game. Actually, there's never been a bad mainline Mario game 2d or 3d. They're all at least somewhat spectacular.

D) They haven't shown SHIT in about 3 years. They HAVE to be sitting on some serious stuff.

Nintendo better not spend anymore than 30 secs on Pikmin 3. We've seen enough from it and I only expect it to be mentioned in upcoming release scheduled.

This better focus heavily on games we haven't seen much of it at all and especially unannounced games. Also if we don't see any 3rd party surprises, I think we can say 3rd party support is in fact hopeless.

This is undeniable. Always happens haha, but I think from surveys they will probably minimize it for the direct. I bet the press will be forced to sit through a long presentation of Wii fit instead
