Either one or two more volume's worth from this translated chapter (which is the end of volume 15, which came out in March)... I think. Probably the former. The last chapter will be in the next issue of Jump SQ, and I haven't seen volume 16 solicited yet.

That is what i did since i did not feel like going back to it after i was near the end .
So i read the whole series one time .

- Chapter 712: Violet.

- 30 minutes ago in Dressrosa. Sanji has been caught by Violet and other Donquixote Family mobs.

- Violet was a killer of Club Trebol army of the Donquixote Family with the power of Devil Fruit "Giro Giro no Mi" (giro is the onomatopoeia of "look intently"). She can see through everyone's mind.

- Violet wanted to know their plan and purpose but was surprised that she can only see women in Sanji's mind.

- Sanji said he never doubts women's tears and believed what Violet said before: I hope you can kill a man for me (chap.703).

- Violet was moved and suddenly used the power of Devil Fruit to knock all mobs down.

- Then Violet let Sanji see what happened in the morning when CP0 arrived in Dressrosa. CP0 told the Dressrosa's residents that the World Government will revise the news about Doflamingo quitting the Shichibukai and the king of Dressrosa at 3pm and asked them not to leak.

- Back to the beach. Fujitora asked Sakazuki: "What happened? The Marine Headquarters has been fooled?" Sakazuki apologized and said: "I am going to Mariejois and asking the Gorosei."

- At this moment Robin used her ability to create a copy of herself to let Law know they are underground.

- After that, Doflamingo arrived at the beach.

Law: "You are just a pirate. You don't have authority to fool the world even if you are the Shichibukai. If someone that can do to this extent. He must be the Celestial Dragons? Can it be that you are...!?"

Doflamingo: "...Law! I really want to kill you!"

End of chapter.

Huh, now that's pretty interesting. Absolutely none of the Harem Girl stuff was even touched upon in the first Season and only made its appearance in the second episode of the new one. I wonder where they're going with this little plot line.

It's finally out in English.
What a shitty ending. What happened to the "everyone dies" ending Oku proposed? Did he cop out?
It really does feel like he just wanted to stop the series and do more porn. The monsters in the series just became shapeless CGI blobs and the pacing just absolutely killed it.

What is it with so many manga having terrible endings?

Pandora Hearts v6

Elliot and Oz panels (sorry leo...) were fantastic. Seeing their different ideas about hings clash yet both taking up their roles gallantly gave a good time, and all that Elliot stands for too is worth commending. I like his character alot and hope that he and Oz can work together more in the future (if Elliot doesnt vanish this arc, but he is a Nightray, like Vincent and Gil, so maybe he will be a key part of the plot). The scene with Elliot giving that long talk to Oz after they escaped from the Baskervilles is one of the best moments of the series.

Now to get six more volumes...after ps4/sao bds come out...

Pressure from/can't go against the editors, didn't plan out everything, burnt out and just wanna move on who knows. Creating a good comic is pretty damn difficult, I used to have so many sketchbooks filled with scrapped scripts, thumbnails for a single project.

This gets me curious, what's everyone's top 5 manga endings?

For me it'd have to be:
1.Full Metal Alchemist
2.Eyeshield 21
3.Emma (vol. 10's ending not 7)
4.GTO
5.Love Hina (I see the wedding as a tacked on epilogue more than an ending)

Underwhelming would probably go to:
1. Cage of Eden
2. Air Gear
(last three I stopped reading at a point and just randomly popped in and out of until the last chapter)
3.Gantz
4.Negima
5.Reborn Hitman

I think its just that most works of fiction are written by people that cant write an ending for beans. It not just limited to manga (even Tolkien, Rowling, Grisham, and Crichton suffered from this). Am quite afraid of how the current lineup of jump manga will end.

I didn't mind LoTR's ending. Hobbit ended nicely except for the bit where Bilbo basically skipped the entirety of the final climactic battle, lol. Haven't read the Silmarilion yet though.

Honestly that ending, as bad as it was, was the best chapter this manga has had in a long time. And I'm genuinely surprised the series didn't end with some sort of mass slaughter of all humanity or something, so that's a small positive. It's too bad this series became such a train wreck. But that said, I enjoyed this train wreck a lot more than the Death Note/Bakuman train wrecks, probably because I never had high expectations for this series after the 100 point monster. I doubt I'll be reading another Hiroya Oku manga again if he does another series after this.

This is yet another episode crying out to be animated, song lyrics just don't work in anime form IMO. Love so strong it makes you want to kill/die for it, series is ending strong.

I haven't read enough completed series yet to do ten so ill just work with what I have finished.

Best series endings

1) full metal alchemist
2) yu gi oh
3) monster
4) ruroni kenshin

Worst series endings

1) 14
2) deathnote
3) yu yu hakusho

I don't hate the idea behind yyh's ending, I hate how rushed it is which left me unsatisfied. I'm also not going to rank other finished series like black cat or medaka box because they weren't good enough to praise but not bad enough to hate.

Yay! It's over! I finally get some closure to a series that has sucked terribly for some years now. The whole invasion was terribly done. The manga started off so good with the weird games, but just got too strange for its own good. It was just mindless killing with terrible transitions between panels and scenes. Glad it's over. PEACE.

Solanin - wrapped up the story perfectly
A Drifting Life - the epilogue was one of the best things I read with Tatsumi reflecting on life and comparing it to Tezuka
Fourteen - mindblown
Takemitsu Zamurai - the last volume was the result of a huge build up to one of the best battle scenes
5 Centimeters per Second - a kick to the balls but so bittersweet

Someone posted some age gap manga (OL in her 20s/30s some middle schooler dude at the beginning) on /a/ and it was pretty cute. Game Over I think it was called.

Although the guy was called shouta so that was kind of funny

Bobobo-bo Bo-bobo's ending was dope with Don Patchi and Tokoro whipping the author.
I need to re-read the entire series, funniest manga ever.

I like Densha Otoko but that kinda comes from external material so idk.

Girl Friends and Solanin are rad as balls.

Huh. I guess I only liked the romance manga endings I read. Damnit, brain.

isn't it just cause manga are usually axed because of low ratings and not due to the author's own accord?

worst ending that pissed me off was Mx0, was such a great series, still among my faves.

I was so annoyed when I got to the end Black Jack and the last chapter was just a regular episodic thing. It wasnt even a good chapter.

There was even a fake ending if I remember. I think its because that actually was the last chapter? Vertical's editions had weird ordering.

They got me all hype for the last volume and the "ending" because of the cool ass cover

Yes, at the end all the violence felt extremely forced, the author most likely just putting it in there because the series was known for that ,,shock value''. All these rape scenes... lol, no. Just no.
Also gotta love how terribly all the mysteries were resolved (if anyone still gave a shit about those after all these years). Or all these subplots being dropped and never further discussed (what was the point of his brother being some vampire or shit again?)

Trying to find the last chronological Black Jack.. ended up reading a chapter about a manga artist who is sick in hospital but desperate to finish his work. He ends finishing the story but then dying.

I heard Tezuka was desperate to finish Pheonix when he was on his death bed, and his last words were "I'm begging you, let me work!

Of course it never ended.. I was so annoyed to read a promise by him that the seemingly unrelated stories in it would have more of a connection than previously thought (more than just the pheonix) and the last volumes would contextualise everything.

He even said he wouldnt hear ANY critisicm of the work unless the person had gone back and read it from the beginning again.
