No, but perhaps from an outsider's point of view, one might imagine that being kicked out of work, then seeing those who dismissed you taking such a figure in the next breath would feel very much a kick in the teeth - some will be fine with that, but others may sympathise more with those who suffered for that cause. Especially if they've been there themselves. They're well within their rights to share those sentiments. I get that some will say "Businesses don't have morals, certain responsibilities, etc.", but that isn't true for all people, let alone all businesses. It is my belief that he isn't a God. I don't apologise for that. You're welcome to disagree. I'll leave it there.

It is a good question and OT to reply to it here. But let's say "to make profit" is not their only goal, because it is a self defeating one. Why does anybody pay taxes?

If Sony goes out of business or falls apart, then a LOT more than 10,000 people lose their job.
I'm a liberal guy but companies need to make profits to stay in business. I don't think anybody who follows Sony would say that they were on a sustainable path.

Yes, selling off those assets DID affect the profits because they were sold for a higher value than the value that was recorded on Sony's books. That's called selling at a profit which is reported on Sony's income statement.
The reinvestment of the proceeds from the sale in other areas does NOT impact the profits. The reinvestment is recorded on the balance sheet as assets.

I really hope Sony goes back to profit. The company deserves it ! they made a lot of good moves in the past couple of years. It's no Sony from 2005 that's for sure !

Overall, I have to say, thats not as much money as I thought he would get paid. Other CEOs get paid way more. I rate, EVEN Don Mattrick gets paid more to be a goof and, who knows, maybe Major Nelson gets paid a pretty penny to pretend to not be a MS suit.

No, it isn't. That's a paltry sum for someone running a major international business and one of the world's most recognizable brands. The CEO of my local hospital makes almost that much.
