Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode (3DS): Petition for a Worldwide Release

As a Digimon fan, I've been interested in playing this new Digimon game "Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode" because it looks like a ton of fun. It was only released less than a month ago in Japan. Recently, I found out about this petition to get the game localized which was created just a bit over a week ago and already has over 4,000 signatures. The people behind it were asking if anyone could help get the word out about the petition, so I decided to help them out. They wrote this up for you guys!

Hello members of NeoGAF!

Today I want to talk to you about the Operation Decode Localization Campaign.
The objective of the Operation Decode Localization Campaign is to convince Namco
Bandai Games to localize Digimon World Re:Digitize Decode for the 3DS in
America/ Europe. The last time we had a Digimon game localized was back in 2008.
The latest entry in the Digimon World series bring exciting new changes, while bringing
back some old time favourite Digimon.

Our petition was first opened by Haseo-san, the founder of the campaign, on July 12th,
and quickly reached over 2,800 signatures (as of writing, we're close to 4.3k signatures).
However, Namco Bandai Games wants to see numbers if they are to localize it. Big
numbers. Our goal now is to reach 5k signatures, then go for the final goal of 10k signatures.
We believe with this many signatures we can grab Namco Bandai Games' attention and
(hopefully) have the game translated and released in America/Europe.

This is perfect. I just started playing digimon world 1 on a nice CRT tv reliving awesome memories. I was thinking about making a rttp for it actually. I want re digitize in English so bad as bad as I want a rumble arena 3 or a true digimon world 5 console game as well as another top down digimon world 3 type game. Digimon game are awesome!
 
The anime is airing over here again right? Seems like it would be a shoe-in to come over considering it's the first time Digimon looks to be relevant in America in at least half a decade.
 
Hm. Why is it for the 3DS version and not psp/vita? I mean I'll take what I can get but I would much rather get the psp version.

3DS version has more content, and while I asked Shahid about this game I can see any potential localization being 3DS only ala One Piece: Romance Dawn.
 
I kinda hope this game does come over since i enjoyed the ds games.

Offtopic: but has anyone watched the jp version of fusion? Its really weird

Talking about Banco, SE is terrible joke they weren't interested to release Bravely Default, FF Type 0 or the latest DQ titles west. While Bandai Namco is responsible for us getting Tales of, Ninokuni, Project Cross Zone and so on.
 
The only digimon games I have played when I was young were from those little overpriced digivices, up to the Pendulum versions. It's equally as popular as Pokemon in my school back then.

Might consider purchasing for nostalgia's sake if they have this rendition of Butterfly.

Edit: Seems like I got the wrong Digimon game.
 
O can't fathom why they wouldn't release this. With the 3DS getting popular and Digimon now being reaired on TV to younger generations surely this game will sell.
 
Signed, but really interested in ANY wider releases for Digimon. Maybe the new Xros Wars dub will help reignite some Digimon passion in the west.
 
The only thing I wish for in more recent digimon games is for there to be less humans. I want them to make the world seem more evil and mysterious and have talking digimon just like world 1. Loved that game.

Ah that makes sense. Still, I want the psp version with the 3ds content. :P

I also wanted Digimon Adventure but I doubt that will ever come over.

you were alone because that was pointless, as soon as the 3DS version announced it meant Namco don't want to do anything with PSP version anymore.

I really liked the Adventure PSP game (even though it wasn't the best game--then again, none of the Digimon games really are), but I'd love to see this one come over. Maybe we might have a chance with Xros Wars coming out in the states?

Fully support this petition! I enjoyed what little I played of the original Digimon World.
