My ideal cast would just be Christian Bale, Tom Hardy, Michael Caine, JGL, Nikola Tesla, Marion Cotillard, Leonardo Dicaprio, Hugh Jackman.

Is that too much to ask man?

In IMAX and 35mm theaters. So only IMAX then? There will not be a single theater left in November 2014 that is still using 35mm analog film.

I mean they could have just said IMAX and digital.

What?

No, shot in 35mm and IMAX (70mm).

Not projected in 35mm and IMAX only.

Dude I know that Nolan still shoots it on film and IMAX. The press release says it is coming to IMAX and 35mm theaters. No there will be no 35mm theater left. I may be shot on film but will be projected with digital projectors.

Lets not appreciate him 40 years from now, lets realize what we have now.

Because I assure you ladies and gentlemen that we are witness to a once in a generation director.

LOL that is just ridiculous. He made memento, that is it. the rest of his films are awful.

He has to be the most overrated director ive come across. Especially on this forum. Then again, this forum doesnt like Ridley Scott or James Cameron so you cant account for taste.

Ridley Scott gets shit for the films he made that deserve it. Also, this forum is not a hivemind.

The whole 'Nolan made one decent film' is bullshit and don't act like you're the only one on this forum with that opinion. He's not a once in a generation director, but he chooses interesting projects and consistently delivers well-crafted blockbusters.

Have you ever been into a Nolan thread? Yours isn't a unique or new opinion, pretty much any thread that mentions his name has him getting shit on.

I haven't seen much hate for James Cameron or Ridley Scott. Maybe for a few of their movies (prometheus and avatar for example) but there is plenty of love for their good movies.

We are not a Hivemind, but one thing is pretty common. Nothing is good or Ok. It is either the greatest thing or pure shit.

Nolan is great. That's my opinion. I don't think anyone cares what I think, nor should they. Why do people get so upset when opinions differ on trivial matters such as a film director?

Who cares.

To say all his movies apart from Memento are awful is way, way farther from the truth than the comment you quoted.

He is great. I wish his action direction was better but I think he is a legitimately great director.

Thank fuck Marion Cotillard isn't in it.

I was starting to get real sick of her. That death scene in TDKR was laughably bad.

She was amazing in Inception as a pseudo villain. She was also good in TDKR save for the death scene.

She is also gorgeous so I wish she was in every movie with her fine self and accent.

He's pretty obviously a good luck charm Nolan has now, lots of directors have them. His role will probably be small.

Really? Didn't know that. Pretty interesting actually and I get it if true. He wasn't around much in TDKR...

hmmm...

But Inception was Zimmer's best score in years.

Inception's score was great, as was Sherlock.

I just feel that he needs someone with a different "flavor". The bombastic, percussion heavy Zimmer score is becoming tiresome and having a different composer will lend a fresh appeal to a nolan film.

Just like the case with Pfister. Great DOP, but Im excited about someone new who brings a different style to nolan's arsenal on his next film.

And he was in Inception for all of 5 minutes.

I think either he or Nolan have said he'll be in all of Nolan's films from here on out. Like Ithil said, it's a kind of good luck charm/tradition now, like John Ratzenberger being in all of Pixar's films.
