Already reported on the previous thread, but figured more people might need to see this.
We recently had a teaser clip (seen bellow, gif by a fellow GAF member Hero of Legend) of a potentially new Pokémon game, apparently for Wii U. Considering the Fighting-type elements in the image (Blaziken, Lucario, Fighting type symbol) as well as the whole setup of the image, many people suspected we may be talking about a Fighting game. Siliconera recently checked on trademarks and found out that 'Pokkén Fighters' and 'Pokkén Tournament' have been filed by The Pokémon Company in the US.

Sounds like a play on Pokémon, Tekken, and [Tekken Tag] Tournament -- we might be talking about Namco here (which is especially interesting, as they are also in Sakurai's team for Smash Bros. 4).
Thoughts?

Edit/Update:
Kotaku has contacted TPC regarding the teaser clip.

Edit/Note:
Interesting note, Pokkén has been found in the Japanese trademark database as well
ポッ拳
It was registered in 2012 by one of the usual Pokémon registrars, but was published in March
For comparison, Tekken is also written in Kanji (鉄拳rather than kana (テッケン
in official media.

So here's the official word from The Pokemon Company on that mysterious Pokemon image that seemed to tease a Wii U game: "There is nothing to announce at this time. These are merely conceptual images."
