New Titanfall gameplay [Gamescom]

Looks entertaining. I imagine the addition of wall running and techs will more it alot more exciting than other titles.

Look forward to it.

Game isn't looking that good (60fps, early gen I know, cross gen or not ?) but dayum it looks fun as hell. That glorious old school FPS feel

Right now it's only XB1 and PC. PS4 eventually.

I'll be day 1 on PC, whether I have to buy it from Origin (probably) or Steam.

The animations looked good, but something seemed slightly off about them....

I know it's a little different in multiplayer world, but something just didn't sit right with me in that regard.

Yeah what's with the anti-M$ Agenda, right? Why do people feel the need to share that they are buying this game or have plans to do so?

Look man. The game is coming out on PC and may or may not be a timed exclusive. Why is it wrong for people to say it's coming out on PC? How is it any different than saying that you're getting it on XB1? It just seems like you're trying to find drama where it doesn't exist.
Well when you do have posts like this:

I'm going to enjoy this game so much on my PC, together with all the awesome exclusives on the (soon to be mine) PS4.

I can see why some people suspect an anti-ms agenda

I hope you all know it will play nothing like that video... for one the map didn't have about 30 snipers sat in the corners of the map. ;)

The aiming is the least difficult part of the transition, I've found. Its the left hand movement and coordinating your fingers for the sprint, crouch, prone and other buttons in the heat of battle that takes some time.

That should be a matter of hours or a day at worst.
I swapped from arrow keys to wasd at one point many years ago and it took less than a day to get used to.

It's a modern shooter not an oldschool one (don't need to bind 10 weapons) and it's not an mmo (15+ keybinds +2 modifier keys)

Xbox 1 has had an impressive showing thus far. Sony's response should be interesting. These year 1 lineups are looking better and better.

MS has been doing great lately. I was expecting to skip upgrading to next gen this holiday. Got burned before on buying launch day systems. But with COD Ghosts now having dedicated servers on Xbox One and Titanfall looking amazing and coming out soon after, I'm going to start looking for where I can score a launch day Xbox One.

I'm still expecting to get a PS4 eventually. Probably around 2015 when the library is fleshed out. I can wait on it. But I can't wait on online shooters. Showing up late to online shooters risks either falling steeply behind the skill curve or the party being over and the players moving on before you get there.

My Titan says snipers will get their shit handed to them from a mix of free running/jetpack pilots and super fast mechs. This isn't Call of Duty, and because of the movement, there is no way it will ever be.

It really is amazing how so many people stress in their post how they will wait for the PS4 version. We all need to be reminded that the Xbox One is not good enough for them.

I'm sure someone will try and turn it around on you for saying that still.

Looks like Call of Duty with fresh ideas and innovation.

Watched it again on the improved youtube version and it is definitely up there in must-haves for me. It's not groundbreaking (what is?) but the gameplay looks way above average which is a plus.

Can't wait.

for some reason fighting people from all angles (up in the air, from the walls) will be rage inducing for me.

let's see how this game plays out on a full server. i'd imagine it would be a clusterf*ck.

Its definitely taking me longer than that. lol

In an MMO, you don't need super quick reflexes or anything. Every fraction of a second can be a matter of a life or death and I just don't have the coordination yet to always do what I want without having to think about it. Many times I find myself panicking and standing up when I'm trying to prone or something!

And I used to be a PC gamer when I was younger, so its not completely alien to me or anything. But I never played anything in a competitive environment before.

I could care less about drama. Its just some posters motives are not hard to spot.

Looks really good, can't wait to play it.

But man, looking at all that jumping around and wall running, I'm going to be *terrible* at this game.

Typically that would be the case. But it's going to be damn hard to snipe guys mid-air double-jumping on to a wall run. In fact that actually does give me pause. One major reason I never liked Halo was because the combat often just devolved into a bunny hopping fest. I liked how COD mostly kept players on the ground. I do hope Titanfall's gun combat doesn't become a double-jump fest. Hope there is some kind of energy or exhaustion meter or something to reign it in.

Gonna be fun on my PS4 in a few years.

Lame camping snipers will always find a way. ;)

Its nice but if this is a multiplayer only game, then why are all the gameplay videos look, feel and play like a single player campaign? Its rubbing me the wrong way because what youre seeing is not what youll be playing.

Enlighten me, are the enemies in the gameplay trailer other player controlled units or NPCs?

I am assuming other players.

Looks pretty fun, really digging the movement. I may give it a shot on PC even though I'm not big on pvp multiplayer.

Yeah, while watching I had to keep in mind that the real deal won't "feel" like it does in the video.

The jumping from wall to wall and double jump boost is like an evolution of Lost Planet's grappling system. It's faster, more intuitive and the movement possibilities are endless. Oh and the mech's too... I mean customizable titans :)!

Looks very fun, but a bit too CoD:y for me. Gunplay is a bit ... straight, for lack of a better word. Not a very tactile feel to it.

And I'm not impressed by the graphics and the presentation in general, I mean it doesn't look bad, but after having just watched the new BF4 trailer it looks a bit last gen.

My most anticipated next-gen title BY FAR.

Man I wish this was a launch title for the Xbox One. Gonna be a long, hard wait until Spring 2014.

Its playable on the floor, we'll find out soon.
