And he was in Inception for all of 5 minutes.

I think either he or Nolan have said he'll be in all of Nolan's films from here on out. Like Ithil said, it's a kind of good luck charm/tradition now, like John Ratzenberger being in all of Pixar's films.
Another underwhelming Nolan film. He was all over the prestige. This only solidifies my theory. More Caine is more quality. He better star in this one.

That is quite a stupidbplot if true. We'll invent ways to grow crops in Antarctica before we can generate a wormhole. What is Nolan thinking?

I don't know why people feel the need to call out a movie based on a vague extremely short synopsis...at least wait for a trailer before calling it stupid

Well, that new plot point is certainly anti-climatic. But hey, no crops=dead, so I guess it cuts it.

Looking at the cast, I really think some of them are playing the same characters at different ages.

How long 'til there's a Pixar-like theory where all of Nolan's movies take place within the same universe?

That'd be awesome.

All it would take would be a reference in Inception like "Pft, this is nothing. I lived in Gotham. Shit's crazy there."

The internet would go insane.

Sci Fi flick about space travel and wormholes, eh? Fooled me once with Event Horizon. Not gonna happen again, bub.
No. Probably closer to Contact but that's even a stretch.

is this a prequel to warhammer 40k?
I'm sure it will include space marines, demon gods and soul stealing emperors.

Some new plot info:

Set in the future, the movie details the toll climate change has taken on agriculture, with corn the last crop to be cultivated.
The scientists embark on a journey through a worm hole into other dimensions in search of somewhere other crops can be grown.

Hype dwindling a bit.

you can't put a price on sparks
so is this a political thriller in space or is this more like fast and the furious in space

well, it wouldnt really work since Batman is in the DC Universe, unless they separate nolan's batman from the DC universe entirely or whatever...

Don't worry. Chris re-wrote the script so you have absolute zero questions about what is happening in each scene, let alone what the film is.

I think the movie w ill have a backdrop of earth being destroyed due to climate change and scientists make one last effort to find different parts of the world where they can grow crops or relocate. I think what I mentioned will be done in the first 20 minutes of the movie. I think the rest of the movie is when the use of such a technology to travel stars begins to screw up and the wormholes created start to mess up layers of the universe which affect every member of the crew.

I suggest you don't worry about these things and just enjoy yourself.

Wait, people didn't like Inception? Damn, I must be in the minority then. I thought it blew away The Dark Knight Rises, and I'm a huge fan of his other two Batman films.

I really enjoyed The Prestige, but just like with Inception or Memento there are ALWAYS some parts of a Nolan film which the analytical part of mind kinda tries to overanalyze and i always end up finding things that don't make sense to me which sort of destroys the illusion/magic of the film a little for me :(

Still cautiously pumped for this one though!

If you always overanalyze movies you watch then don't bother watching any time travel movies.

You'll just fuck it up for yourself, and you won't enjoy it.
