I think it's fairly likely that HL3 launches alongside Steam OS / Steam Machines. I doubt it will be exclusive as that's not Valve's style, but the timing would make sense.

Why is EA forcing people to download and use Origin to play their games? I know a piece of software and an entire OS are 2 different beasts but the line of thinking's the same. Because they can.

Valve doesn't really need to worry about money at this point, or whether they reach as many people as possible, this isn't EA or Activision otherwise we'd be on Half Life 8's two week PS4 exclusive Alyx dlc. They need to actually give a shit about their Half Life fans. I'd bet money that all the hoopla surrounding today's news turns out to be a joke.

It would be impossible for a train (even one going twice as fast as a normal one - as in the gif) to be able to complete the loop.

Also, on a morbid note, if this was real then everyone on board the train is dead from G-force.
