I really liked Enslaved and I hope this port comes with Pigsy's Perfect 10, as I heard good things but never played it
It was the fault of the developer not the PS3. 360 version is smoother but still suffers from severe slowdown. It runs much worse than most other UE3 titles on consoles.PLEASE let this be real. I played this on PS3, it was such a great game but completely hindered by the piss poor GPU.
Nope, Qloc isn't doing this one.I don't understand the hate towards Ninja Theory. I really enjoyed Enslaved and would love to see a PC port, especially if it's completed by the team behind the PC port of NT's DMC as the opitmisation was first class. The only DLC for Enslaved - Piggy's Perfect 10 DLC was really solid and I hope it's added to the PC port.

It's a platform/brawler.Also, I'd hope it was a proper PC port. But my cynicism tells me it'll be some FPS locked junk with poorly implemented PC controls...even years after it's initial release.
Optimization isn't much of an issue with UE3 anyway. Pretty easy to brute force 60fps.
Huh? I played Madness Returns on PC and it was great. 1440p, ultra, the whole kadoodle.Brute forcing it doesn't fix a bad port though (cf. Alice Madness Returns).

Edit: almost forgot about the added PhysX stuff. Was an amazingly beautiful game in motion.
On AMD cards it runs like shit. Having to turn PhysX off to get good performance is understandable, but it will still stutter or hang for half a second in irregular intervals, and sometimes textures take a moment to load.
I ran Alice at flat 60FPS pretty much on my somewhat older ATI card IIRC.
I'm still baffled about some Capcom choices for the platform.I wish more Japanese publishers would try releasing just one good game on Steam.
Apparently that's all it takes.
Yeah, not porting Dragon's Dogma in particular is such an incredibly odd choice. That game would sell gangbusters in Europe on PC.I'm still baffled about some Capcom choices for the platform.
They aren't porting Monster Hunter or Dragon Dogma, but apparently they think everyone on PC wants more Lost Planet (and so on).

It's a pity the PhysX effects were toned down in the final release versus what Nvidia had earlier showcased -- in the the former the fluid effects when attacking enemies are less prominent and the destructible terrain is limited to only a single particular point in the game (the giant chess boards). (I'm not sure if particle effects also took a hit.)

This is one of the most frustrating thing about Japanese developers. I hope things change with the next-generation since conversions between platforms should be even more easy. So you're making an RPG with a western flavor, but you won't release it on the most important platform for this kind of games, how does this make any sense?
I expect all the S-E Japanese console games for next-gen to be released on PC too, it makes zero sense when you're already developing on a PC and you have a big PC presence thanks to Eidos.

I hope those Halo games land on Steam eventually! I really miss Halo! Such a great series
You don't think there's a chance the whole Linux focus/SteamOS thing could hurt chances for future MS releases on the platform, i.e. Halo?

yes I am also really hopeful. I loved the original too much! Gearbox did a fantastic jobI am looking forward to Halo since day one as well, I did a lot of research and posted a couple of threads on rumors. Needless to say, I am very excited for a potential port.
I hope they rework the net code for dedicated servers in Halo 2 and 3, while also giving great M/KB controls. The latter is quite easy to mess up.
Very outside chance here, but ODST would be very popular on PC. Horde mode games are some of the most played on Steam, and Firefight would prove to be a very attractive mode on the platform.
Still has the best in game acting I've ever seen. Those facial expressions...they're super good. The combat isn't great and it does get a little collectathony, but it's still an experience worth having. If they release it for 20 bones, everyone should dive in.
I still like equating this game to a stage play. There's really only 3 characters, the rest of the world seem more like a silent narrative through a fantasy land, what few other characters exist mostly do so through off screen narration or silhouetted pantomime, it's a really fun short story.
