i think from a few reviews... or might be another game, no clue. 35 seems reasonable enough.
how prevalent are tag and rotation battles from trainers in the wild? While i enjoy them in concept, that feel when the only super effective move you got atm targets everyone

a huge blow to Special Sweepers, Hidden Power has a base power of 60 now (no longer IV based power)
Roserade seems to be the only sweeper with Technician. It might work nicely in its favor in that case.

Well the poster I was quoting was saying that Farfetch'd is given as a trade to help you out in the first gym
I dunno. Pokemon campaign seems hard to quantify.
If you just get your starter to be insane overleveled and go straight to the gyms/story you can finish pretty quickly.
If you take your time catching/training different Pokemon, looking around the map it can add some hours. Thought the training part seems like it can be skipped with the new Exp. Share.
Aw, that's lame, but I guess it was too good to be true.
IV's are the only thing keeping me away from competitive battling. Breeding is just too tedious.

True. i guess i did take my time with black2, first pokemon game for a long while did i have a good 4 or so strong core party.
But the consensus is the new one is easy? hmmm... I kinda liked/hated how every pokemon you fight in b2/w2 seemed to have a move super effective against their weakness type lol.

it's pretty crazy to think we won't know what new shinies look like for months, if not years as images slowly trickle in.
Are we absolutely sure the data cannot be dumped? Otherwise it's going to be a painful road of finding random percents for moves, shiny colors, etc.

So according to my Pokedex, Weedle and Kakuna are common in X, while Caterpie has a limited location and Metapod is not catchable. Can anyone with Y confirm this?

We already knew it was a one-way transfer, but that kind of information is stored in the game, not the Pokemon's data.

It's probably like Diamond and Pearl where the box legendary has a fairly high catch rate.
Thanks, never transferred pokemon between gens before, so I have no frame of reference. I bought White 2 in anticipation of Y. Before that, the only pokemon game I played was Blue.
This would seal the deal for me.

About the same. Both are seen in Santalune Forest, but Caterpie can also be found on Route 2 so maybe try there.

Ah, opposite on X as Weedle can be caught on Route 2 but not Caterpie.

For anyone curious. I am at 9 hours and have only just got the second gym badge. I haven't felt as though I have been grinding, but I have not rushed through.

don't really care much about hard catches these days lol. just paralyze them, get them to red. throw ultra/dusk balls all day while watching some tv.

With the exception of Coumarine City and Geosenge Town, I'm incredibly disappointed with the XY OST I'm a MASSIVE fan of the music on Pokémon games, particularly those pieces composed by Hitomi Sato!
It's a shame all the other tracks (so far) have just been totally weak
Oh, but the Professor Sycamore Lab Music...am I playing a Tales of or Dragon Quest game?! It's pretty awesome

IMO it has the best battle themes in the series, and it's the ones I love the most in jRPGs usually so I am very satisfied.

Was planning to get X for Clauncher, but after being set on Froakie, I don't need another water type on my team... should I get Y instead? I think Y has the nicer looking Charizard. Can't make up my mind...
Y has the superior Mewtwo and it has Dragalgae.

Well, Masuda I recall saying Shinies appeared more often (I think it's tied to how much you "tip" since the leakers mentioned it had an unknown function), plus we've got millions of players playing, statistically I imagine more or less every Pokemon will have their Shiny encountered pretty fast with so many people playing, but then it's a matter of whether or not they share a picture of it.

You get to pick which fossil you want, like RBY and RSE. You can find the other one later on through Rock Smash too.
