Haha. While I've played with that dude a bunch of times and he didn't come across as a dirty player in any way, the bluntness of your post made me laugh out loud.
Well everytime he came up to the rear quarter panel on my car I would get spun out, so maybe it was coincidence but it didn't feel like it at the time.

Ok, so i've been exclusively playing in invite only sessions with some other gaffers - for the main reason that we don't want to be bothered by griefers.
I've gotten some invites from some of you guys and i've joined some of them, but i've either ended up in another session or i've been forced to spectate. So, how about we try to play together in a private session, doing missions together, racing (clean ones!) and some TDM's. Wadda' ya sayyy?

Count me in. I was playing yesterday with some BobTheFork and Quint (I don't know if they're their GAF usernames) who invited me to high level missions and it helped me to get some money and to reach level 10. Thanks a lot! It's a lot better to play with the crew and friends.

Whenever I get an invite from people in the GAF clan, I accept, get in and there's no one there
Either that or it fills up before I get in. I always end up racing with random's now.My PSN name is ScareGoat if anyone wants to race, or play any mode really.

Saw there are some opening in the official crew. Requested an invite. Currently in the alt crew, NeoGAF The Third, level 30, and I play almost every day. Unless I am already in the middle of a mission, or not screwing around with friends, I join the invites I get. I wanna be a part of the Gaming Age Family!

The most amount I've gotten off a dead player was $6400. At lvl 50 you can call Lamar and have a mugger rob someone, but they have a chance of killing the mugger. You also have a chance to kill the mugger and take all the loot instead of receiving a cut.

so how do i get into the crew? I applied on social club and put my stuff on the google docs, am i missing something?

No, you aren't missing anything. Just play the game and eventually you'll likely get in. The main crew seems full 99% of the time, but the alt crew has room - NeoGAF the Third (NGTT). Make sure you are on both google docs, and request entry to both. My understanding is you start in the alt crew, then get called up. 2 gaffers on my friends list have done this so far.

Anyone know how sessions closed only to crew members work?
I'd like to create some sessions that only let crew members in, but I have no idea if there is a way to invite people to the session. I thought it would be fun to have a space where people could hang in session without necessarily worrying about getting attacked by others.
I created one last night, but no one ever joined - probably because they enter GTA Online the regular way (hit x at the game's main loading screen).

Not sure about a single crew session, but could you reduce the "Crew Session" options from 2 to 1? I haven't really messed with this option much.
On a side note, I realllly hope that this keeps on going strong. This board has seen little activity over the past few days. I know I'll be online for about an hour or two today around 430pm EST at the latest, if anyone is down for whatever.

I think it will be going strong for a long time. This thread is pretty slow, but work is being done on the crew (Gaming Age Family) to make sure we have active members. I just sent another list of crew members with little to no playtime to WhatRobEats. When he gets the chance he's going to PM some people on the list to see what their plans are regarding the game and if they are going to continue playing or not. Should be some open spots again soon.
Don't worry, you're safe. You're not on the list I sent to Rob. Right now the focus on those with little to no playtime. Those with no playtime or less than 30 minutes game time will probably be PMed first.

Great, thanks. I know the community wont die down, but seeing the lack of posts here over several days from over 400 members of either crew, it had me just a little worried. Only a little though. I know it's still early in the lifecycle of the game though, and a lot of people are waiting for the kinks to be ironed out. Appreciate the response.

Yeah, the thread is pretty dead with having as many members as we have, but I guess Crew stuff is pretty limited right now and is really only good for getting games together with good people. I've been playing/racing with crew members nearly every night since launch so at least I know lots of people in the crew are actively playing.
I think once crew vs crew stuff and whatever else Rockstar has planned is implemented, this thread will probably get a little busier. Hopefully Rockstar will release that blog post with the content schedule soon.

Yea, pretty much now the only thing for you to do is to play the game. You'll eventually get accepted into one, then hopefully the other. Playing the game in the meantime doesn't impact that in any negative way. And besides, you might as well get things done while you wait.

Instead anyone with zero playtime will be kicked on Monday, October 21st.

I need to reiterate on racing, I don't go out of my way to hit people, I try to avoid contact when I can't and some shit can't be helped but then there are hits that are clearly intentional and at least on my end that comes after some obvious attempts on me.
It's very satisfying to have someone hit you and try to knock you out of the race only for it to backfire and leaving them the ones going flying out of control and possibly wrecking. *Insert laughing emoticon here.* I've also started realizing ways you can fuck someone over while they're slip streaming you without even having to make contact. It's glorious.
Many of us are largely posting in the GTAO OT. Rockstar has a lot of things they need to sort out before the crew stuff starts up. I imagine the GTAO team has been swamped and under a ton of pressure over the last couple weeks with the seemingly unending amount of problems they've had since release.

It seems to be updating stats correctly now from what I can tell. There still seems like a little delay yet in updating stats though. It took a few minutes for my social club profile to update what I played last night. I just checked your profile and it says you have 3 and a half hours played. Does that seem right to you? Either way, you won't be put on the list of people to boot tonight.
I'll have that list of people for you tonight Rob. Probably around 7:30-8:00pm Central or so. If I do get some extended downtime at work today I'll have it to you earlier.

No problem Rob. I really hope the Social Club stats are correct. I checked each profile multiple times to make sure I wasn't putting anyone on the list that shouldn't be there. I apologize if you have been playing the game with the crew, but the Social Club was reporting otherwise. Hopefully we can get you back in the crew ASAP if this is the case.

Ah, this reminded me to check. Tokyo made a new one lets try it on for size. I agree it looks cool on the site but in game it's not that great.
Edit: Or not. Social club page is running like ass and isn't loading any emblems.
