Thanks guys for all the replies! I think I'm going to see what else comes out in the next few days. They both told me today that they don't care for the TV features. They do want to see how the PS4 controller feels. I told them some places already have them, but do you guys know if Gamestop will be having demo stations before release?

I dislike how active the mods have gotten. This is a discussion board, not an editorial/critical website, and yet the mods are acting like editors to an extent.
Let people post what they want as far as rumors are concerned and let their track record define their trustworthiness and reputation.
Then again, I'm more of a small government kind of guy. I'm sure that many members prefer the strict rules and oversight!
It came here when we decided we aren't Reddit, B3D or 4CHAN. Going to post up some bombs? They better be truthbombs.

Well I think it's more to do with needing definitive proof. Gaf can't be known as a place for spreading bullshit.

On some level letting free reign works, but it works for some members. If you leave it open for all, you can have people do nothing but stir shit with bogus claims. Staff here is perhaps very picky to prevent that sort of brew making, hence why they want sources before people say things.

To be fair, I don't think they want GAF to be known as the center of bad info from insiders. There's a certain responsibility in (a) claiming your an insider, and (b) spreading info that isn't corroborated by other sources.

I personally do not care for the oversight unless it has to do with flaming or trolling, but I do think that since GAF has no ties to any of these companies people should be able to share rumors. Then again maybe I am just wishful thinking. Please don't ban me

Problem is, people tend to jump on whatever rumor they like the most. Not necessarily the most believable or reliable one. Because of that, outright lies can quickly gain momentum and turn the forum into a source of misinformation.

People editing out rumoured resolution of BF4 in the fear of getting banned is going too far.
I don't care about resolutions anymore, I just have seen too much of that stuff. I do think what is going on with xb1 is telling, but I'll care more next year after launch has passed.
I am curious though about that all these journalists are hinting at though I still think it has to do with review consoles/games being delayed.
It seems to me though that the journalists typically favoring Xbox are the ones mostly upset so I think it IS xb1 related.
