Must be an oversight by Sony. It should be no problem to view trophies offline. They can be earned and are all stored locally as well.

This is more weird than anything.

If you can earn trophies offline, than the PS4 has to have the structure in place to store them offline.

It's as if they didn't build in the fallback to see your offline trophy status when there is no connection available. It just fails when the connection isn't there.

That was just syncing related. PS3 trophies could always be viewed offline on PS3 (and Vita as well for that matter). Unless Sony changed the trophy system on PS4, that trophies are deleted locally after being synced, then this must be an oversight by Sony.

Firmware for this console seems like such a rush job. I am able to remember back to how the PS3 was compared to how it is today so I'm not crushed by all the missing features. I also think it was a very good move to reserve plenty of space for future improvements.

In all of these trophy threads I've asked the same question and yet to see an answer. When you win a trophy can you press a button to quickly find out what it was? Sorta like you can with the middle button on xbox. Or, do you have to navigate through several screens and try to remember what the popup said?

I'm not really a big trophy collector but if something pops up I usually like to see what it is. That's painful on PS3.

If this was the reasoning and they tried something similar, then they would have to make it exclude PS3 Trophies, which I don't think would happen.
