I booted up my PS4, PSVita, and PS3 all at the same time, and remained signed in on all three. So there you go. ;)

so for those that have gotten a few hours of gaming in how noisy has the ps4 gotten and have you noticed the disc spin down after a while?

How does downloading and installing patches work? Jeff Gerstmann said it's clunky like the vita. What have you guys found it to be like?

Ok me and bro been playing Killzone just fine after that rough update. Guys what color is the PS4 suppose to be during normal usage? His is constantly on white regardless of what he does. Where as my buddy texted me saying his is blue when playing games?

Been home for a couple hours now with my system and wow, so fucking badass lol! Got everything hooked up, set up all my settings and downloaded the update which took about 5 minutes. Love how the ui is so incredibly responsive, quick and how everything is laid out so simply. Dualshock 4 is the best controller I've ever felt. Very comfortable, triggers are amazing and the sticks feel great how responsive they're. Only played 2k so far as I'm quite tired so I'll wait until diving into Killzone tomorrow so I can give it my undevided attention lol. Took around 20 mins to fully install 2k but it does give you the only option of a quick game which is spurs vs heat. Better to be at least playing something instead of staring at a screen waiting for the install to finish lol. Overall I'm very impressed with the system and cant wait to spend countless hours tomorrow with it :)

Orange = standby
Pulsing blue = booting
White = ready (normal usage)

Ok remote play is a gamechanger. Turned on Vita, started the PS4 app, put the number in that the PS4 tells me, boom, connected. Played about 30 minutes of the KZSF campaign, perfect 1:1 and looks amazing. No lag, about 20 feet from my TV on my bed. Gonna try some NBA2k14 now. So cooool.

Buy the cheapest one you can find. No signal degradation with digital signals, it either gets there or it doesn't. So buying a better quality one won't make any difference to the signal quality, only general cable build quality.

How's the Vita clunky?

If it is like the Vita then I assume instead of preventing you from starting the game without downloading the patch, it puts the patch in the download list like any game or DLC.

Cause it's such a large game that it needs time to cache the entire game onto your HDD

Started a Blu-Ray movie. If there was an activation, it happened automatically and with no prompts. Loading a disc into the drive seems incredibly loud compared to the PS3, but the sound of the disc spinning while a movie is playing can't be heard at all from even just a couple feet away. The system as a whole is pretty much silent after watching a movie for about twenty minutes.

So far the oddest thing about the entire system for me is that when watching a Blu-Ray movie, circle is play/pause instead of X. X is not used at all, which just seems so weird to me.

Popping in to say we had a few troubles initially with PSN; server maintenance, stuff like that, but now that everything is working properly...

It's everything I hoped it would be. There is so much to do and see. Everything is so fast and fluid. I'm so happy with it.

Yeah. I think everyone gave up and went to sleep. This UI is really nice.

The motion sensor controls for keyboard input are absolutely amazing! It is way faster than using the D-pad, and incredibly easy to get used to. The system defaults to using the D-pad, so simply press R3 to swap to motion control.

For what it is worth I've noticed that the fan noise is significantly louder/more noticeable when vertical for whatever reason.

Horizontal it is very quiet.

Unless I'm going completely mad, (I haven't slept yet).

Do you have to have the camera or is it purely gyroscope based?

Holy crap I am BLOWN AWAY at how the Vita remote play works. It looks like a native game on my Vita. I mean wow, there's no perceptible lag and visually it's sharp and crisp with no hint of artifacting.

And another holy crap: Twitch streaming works great, everything is working great, and you can watch twitch streams and stuff without exiting a game. Neat.

Yeah, this system is crazy awesome. I'm amazed that it hasn't melted down PSN/Twitch yet. Everything works day one. I never would have guessed that.
