Polygon's marathon Xbox One live stream

Oh, MAN, to play a bluray on PS4, you actually need to use a CONTROLLER!?! Can you believe this shit? Like, hello? What is this the stone-age?

Am with bald guy, when I think of NEXT-GEN GAMEPLAY, I think KINECT!

I closed the stream after what the long hair dude said about voice commands not working for him and then turns around and says some crap that it worked really well.
 
if only the ps4 was packed in with some kind of wireless device you could use remotely to control the system
 
So it seems like MS has been doing a good job at selling the system to the reviewers on potential alone.

They keep saying it has problems but it could be good.
 
They wondered when the ps4 would get a price drop in the ps4 stream. I'm guessing they will wonder when the xbox will get an increase in price because the only thing they didn't like about it is that it's almost too good.
 
After watching the first few minutes I feel like returning my PS4 and getting and Xbox One Friday.

Right, and in the PS4 stream they were moaning because the PS4 is great, but doesn't have a killer app. Gies mentions that Sony has historically had great exclusives and probably will, but he still can't recommend it. But the Bone? SO MUCH POTENTIAL.
 
GAF loves making fun of Polygon, but I think they actually have some talented people on staff.

Chris Grant, Russ Frushtick, Chris Plante, Russ Pitts, Matt Leone, and the McElroy brothers are generally all knowledgeable and fair when it comes to game coverage.

I think the site's reputation really suffers, perhaps fairly, because of Arthur Gies.
 
I don't understand. He says that it's really cool how Kinect can tell if you're holding the controller...can't the PS4 do the same thing with the lightbar? Talking about the multiplayer bit, not the bit about turning off the controller, which is cool.

On a side note, the office/wherever they are looks amazing.

It is, I burn through more than enough charges on the DS3's from just leaving them sitting there, even though they turn off after 10 minutes.. still eats up the battery.
 
The PS4 is a solid device with features that work really well, it's built solid so that it can progress from the bottom up. The Xbone is a janky mess of a system that's so futuristic that it's goal is to stabilize itself from the "top" to bottom. No fucking thanks. PS4 is the clear winner.
 
Can't wait to see how much more stupidity and incredulity they can spew forth.

Does it stop being cool if the PS4 does it also?. Some gaffer said that Kinect notice it and puts the controller on a low power state until you pick it up.
 
Amazing controller features: AA Batteries and you can plug a cable in and then it's a cabled controller.

They dislike the shoulder buttons though, I give em that.
 
Both commentators say they dislike the Xbone's shoulder bumpers. "It's like a step back."
Say they prefer the PS4 controller, which is surprising to them because they both preferred 360's last gen. Praising the headphone jack on DS4.
