Xbox One - Walk into a store and pick it up?

North Dakota targets have Xbox Ones in stock, walmart is down for all the zipcodes I tried in the state. Really weird. I tried some Minnesota zipcodes and it worked fine but no Nodak.

I checked at my local Target and Walmart this week out of curiosity and neither had any PS4s. Not sure if they've been getting shipments and they're out the door right away or what but there was nothing there.

There's been rumors of Walmart/Best Buy holding stock for Black Friday,

Most Targets around the St. Louis area have them in stock.

But I'm sure by the end of today, and the weekend they'll be gone.

My Gamestop has "only three left", but I'm not sure how much I trust them. Every single time I go there to buy a game without pre-ordering it, they claim that "this is our last copy" and that I should have pre-ordered.

My Wal Mart also has them in stock, but they couldn't tell me how many they have, which is unsurprising; Wal Mart has always been pretty clueless about electronics in general.

Big Island.

The day 1 shipments will probably all dry up by the end of the weekend. The target near my work had 10 of them, will probably all be gone by tomorrow.

The Day One box? Or you just mean first shipments? Day One units should be gone by this morning yet. Would be shocked if not.

First shipment? We'll have to see. Sounding like demand is at a point where you might be able to find one through the weekend.. and then depending on how fast MS can get more to the stores. We'll see.

A lot of websites still have em.

Newegg does too but they're only selling it with some shitty bundle.

I'm gonna go to Frys to get 3d world and Zelda today. gonna see if they have it in stock and might pick it up.

Fair enough, I guess I'm just unlucky then, to be surrounded by multiple stores that don't have a single one available for sale.

I think America got the lion's share of the launch shipment. We don't know how many/few the EU, and the UK within that, were allocated yet.

Yeah, about that...

I checked numerous stores and none of them have free stock for sale. None whatsoever, the best I was offered by Game was to come back on Monday and see if anyone hadn't picked up their pre-order (which most people had already done so, with people coming in to pick theirs up while I was in store) and other stores telling me I wouldn't be likely to get one until mid December but if I wanted to guarantee one, I'd have to pre-order.

my local GAME had at least 'a few' according to the staff. £725 forced bundle though lol. (Slough branch fwiw)

Everyone has plenty instock in Cincinnati Ohio. I'm going to wait on Amazon restock to avoid the taxes and just buy a game with that saved money.

Shows that they are available at Target in pretty much every major town here in Kansas except Olathe.

Ps4 still shows out of stock but guy at bestbuy says they get a few every delivery but are hoarding them for next Friday sure other stores are doing the same.

Went into a Gamestop to pick up Zelda a couple hours ago. Employees there said 50 people were at their store for Xbone launch (but not all 50 were there to buy consoles, some were just family/friends of purchasers). They had inventory.

I'd be interested to see what stock looks like at the end of the weekend. Not going to start comparing PS4 sales to Xbone quite yet. This could just be a supply chain difference. Microsoft could be completely blasting North American retailers with units while Sony could be purposely constraining supply for EU and Japan (as its Japanese market share is much larger than Microsoft's).

Not sold out??

I thought consoles always sold out at launch.

Still has an entire day for compulsive buyers, parents grabbing it for a gift, enthusiasts with no preorder, and of course scalpers to clean out the remaining stock. If after today you can still walk in and buy one, then I would be more concerned. Especially considering the Xbone seemed to have shipped less units than the PS4, even in the US.

Yeah, certainly seems that way. Bloody annoying too, I really want to buy one but can't find a single store that has any...

Bah, shouldn't have expected anything less, especially from MS.

Target here in Canada (Ottawa) sold out.

Also, strangely, Futureshop had over 100 stores in Canada with a midnight launch for Xbox One last night. They had only 4 stores with a midnight launch for the PS4. I really don't get that at all.

No. They shipped less xbone than ps4 to retail.

My local ASDA, Sainsburys and Argos had stock.

A friend of a friend queued outside GAME for his, but had stock left over after all had been served.

Walked past my local GAME store today and they had quite a few left over.
I asked about it at the counter and the staff member said there was a large queue at the midnight launch but through the day it's been pretty stagnant.

Pretty much all the Targets in Austin, TX have them in stock. If you have a MS store around you check there.

NPD should be verrryyyyy interesting.

How so? We already know PS4 had the higher pre-order numbers, has the lower price advantage, and the good will with consumers. The only interesting thing would be if XO outsold it.

Quick and easy check if you don't know about it

My area show some sold out and in stock at a few

Be weary of Target's online stock checker. I've now called 2 different targets which both showed them being in stock online. Neither one had them.

Interesting because it will fuel his fanboy rage.

Welp.

Just got back from Walmart, was picking up Mario 3D World and they had 11 X1's in stock. I asked the electronics guy how many they had originally and how many people were "camping out", he said they received 18 total and 5 people were waiting in line to get at midnight.

Just for comparison, the PS4 hasn't been in stock since launch and this store received 39 systems he said and they were all gone to people lined up before midnight.

Oh yeah sorry, it wasn't day one models.

in charleston sc all local target and walmart in stock.

also walmart.com looks to be in stock

its still early here. so ms must have a lot more stock than ps4 or lower demand.

Targets, Best Buys all over Atlanta area have them in stock, a handful are sold out.
The Duluth and Marietta MicroCenters have them in stock but in short supply.
Verified with a bud of mine in electronic retail.

I think the numbers might be even more lop sided than expected.

According to their website every Target within 50 miles of me has them in stock.

So either the demand is not there or they managed to ship way more than anyone expected. Part of me thinks they will manage to sell 1.1m units or something crazy like that.

Fry's here in Austin still had several left this morning when I grabbed my copy of Mario. They only had about twenty people show up at the midnight launch last night. I suppose it had something to do with the rainy-cold weather and that they most had pre-orders.

This does not sound good for
Day one figures. The ps4 has way more supply and managed to sell out in one day. The Xbox has less and you can find them. I wonder if it's the price.
