Confession: I haven't played Persona 3 yet.

Not sure I want to or am going to get the chance to, at the rate I'm clogging up my backlog.

Ok, vita bros I need your help, ASAP.

Me and my brother have both vitas, and since my brother doesn't play game a lot, (I gave him vita as present), he just uses my PSN account to play games.

Now, I just came home to play with him some Dragons Crown, and to my surprise, I can't play with him ad-hoc either! I didn't expect to play online at all, that's a given, but I surely expected to play some adhoc local play.

I'm sure I was able to play local adhoc just fine with same account during PSP time (I played Godeater burst with him ad-hoc, same account and stuff), but I'm really confused. Am I doing something illegal here?

Finished my exams and feel like splurging on videogames after a pretty long break from playing them. I'm a PC gamer mainly but my commute is getting longer and longer and I'm at home less and less to make it worth while. For some reason JBHIFI is selling the psp killzone bundle $70 cheaper than anywhere else in Australia I can see so I'm jumping on it. Was always interested in Persona 4 and everyone raving about Tearaway has put it on my first purchase list also. I'll probably buy a ps4 at some stage so the remote play connectivity will be an added bonus. Anything I'm desperately missing?

I picked up a Vita due to Best Buy's sale (and me also getting a PS4) and see that Soul Sacrifice must have just recently left PS+. Do they ever repeat games, or am I stuck waiting for a sale if I want to play that? :O

When do they switch the free PS+ games anyways?

If that bundle has digital Killzone, I think you're going to regret that one( it's 4GB ~). Doesn't that Tearaway bundle include a MC? I would also think KZ M would be cheaper if you buy it separately.

Vita is still awesome pick up!

Oh, nice.

I don't typically like putting screen protectors on any of my devices as I typically find them to be a detriment to the quality more than a protector, but I'm not sure if I should with the OLED screen. Should I just get one of the official Sony ones or am I okay to go without?

Im not one for screen protectors, but decided to with vita, and now 1 yr later, i am very thankful for it seeing a few scratches/nicks its picked up. The hori screen protector is what i use.

Anyone have impressions of these ps mobile games?: vacation vexation, earth assault, dark quest, shuttle quest, hills of glory:ww2, monster hotel, super tank poker, and re:marriage?

Ive had the hori one that covers the whole front since day1 first edition bundle and i swear by it.
No bubbles, easy to install and no touchscreen probs.
alot of ppl go naked with no probs so I guess its preference

I'd jump on a Tearaway bundle in a second because I'm not overly interested in Killzone, but it's not being released in Australia and with shipping from the UK ends up costing a fair bit more. And while KZ may be cheaper on its own, this bundle is actually cheaper than just buying a vita on its own else where. Lucky yanks and their $150 sale.
//Also it looks like its a physical copy of KZ from what I've seen online.

If you're a patient type and don't mind putting some more cash, get a memory card from yesasia or something instead.

You're paying $44 for 16gb, but you could pay ~$96 for 64gb.

You are missing the quintessential service every Playstation owner should have, a PS+ subscription.
You'll get Uncharted and Gravity Rush, both are must haves.

Question-

Does Gran Turismo (PSP) work on Vita? I checked the CAG list, and it says it still isn't compatible.

Have there been updates to make more games compatible? (Sadness at trying to download Def Jam Takeover directly, with the PS3 four states over)

It works via PS3 transfer. Not sure if that's for US or PAL though

Tearaway + P4G? Really good purchase there. I think SCEE territories users get a free month of PS+ when they register a Vita, so you don't need to buy 3/12 months right now. Still, PS+ is a really solid purchase for every Vita owner.

My friend wants to get a Vita soon, and I noticed PS+ is updating tuesday. Does that mean all the current PS+ games will be unavailable to download after the new games come out?

No, she doesn't, but thanks that's useful. We're waiting for the Black Friday special on the year of PS+, but by then it will be a little too late. Does anyone know of a free month trial offer for the time being:/?

You could always check out the PS4 thread. A lot of new owners there have trial codes they aren't using.

I got one for US, but I guess it requires an US credit card attached to the account to work (which can be deleted after redeeming, of course).

If that's a non-issue, I'll PM it to you.

That's quite generous of you. If it's alright, I'd graciously accept on behalf of my friend. Credit card is a non-issue.

So I've become quite impatient after playing the Tearaway demo in GameStop with my girlfriend on Thursday and I want a Vita now. (._. )

There is a Best Buy right by my job, should I bite on the $160 deal or hold out and see if anything better pops up on Black Friday? (Hoping for another Amazon x Based White Vita deal)

So GAF, sell me on Invizimals; does the new Vita game require extnensive use of its camera?

BlueMaxima had some impressions earlier this month, but yes it does require a lot of use of the camera. While the cardless technology works fine it can be a problem if your play space doesn't have much in the way of colour or pattern. That being said, I'm not sure it's that great a game if you're not a kid, I believe it mostly consists of catching Invizimals and fighting with the. The catching is done with touch and gyro etc. and the fighting is rather simple.

Finally got my Teraway Vita pack 5 days late, just updating it now. Was bitching about ShopTo because of the delivery, but they've thrown in an extra 30 days of PS+ (on top of the 30 you get for connecting your Vita to your PSN account right now) and thrown in FIFA, so I can't be too harsh on them.

Gonna leave it downloading while I head to work.

Looks for Suikoden in EU PSN. Finds nothing *sigh*.

They're only in US Store, right?

I... don't think so. IIRC we don't have Suikoden 2 as well in the US PSN...

It seems like Konami is so busy kissing Kojima's arse that they forget they have many other titles too that they can offer to people besides Metal Gear.

I remember Suikoden I last time I checked the US store, is it gone now? Or was it the game that you had to transfer to the Vita using the PS3?

Bah so a poor man's Pokemon then?

Suikoden is still on US PSN.
Suikoden II is still in Q&A limbo or some such.

Since the PS4 I received from Amazon turned out to be a brick, I bought Killzone: Mercenary to play while waiting for my replacement. I've completed about 5 missions so far, this game is a lot of fun! And it's one of the best looking Vita games I've ever played! Sadly, the network pass that came with my Japanese retail copy (I live in Japan) won't redeem on my NA account. Oh well, I'll save Killzone multiplayer for Shadow Fall on the PS4.
