This is just a symptom of the disease.and they said console gaming is dead. Shows how much the so called experts actually know.

Hey I love Nintendo as much as the next guy, but if Nintendo goes away, that's on them. Stop portraying them as helpless victims in your little scenario of doom.If anyone needs to accept reality it's the people celebrating Nintendo's struggles and promoting further danger. There are going to be some major regrets if Nintendo gets driven out of this industry and there is no around this time to pick up the pieces when the inevitable crash comes from less visionary companies becoming too popular too quickly through sheer marketing and advertising blah blah blah blah

oy, this place is going to get ugly once bayonetta 2 launches
None, but at least we can keep that chalkboard going.
You would think we would be used to the sting of seeing Platinum's games be commercial failures almost every single time. But it still hurts so badly.
Easily.
At least, everything points to that being the case.
The questions is, will we see Mario on PS4 and Xbone by the end of this gen?
Sonic did come to the PS2 and GCN after all.
Has it expanded, though?
Or has Sony gobbled up the majority of the console gamer install base? Nintendo's install base has shrunken, and those guys didn't just disappear.

If Mario 3D World can't shift software and consoles then what chance does Bayonetta 2 and X have?
I doubt it. Not it enough supply. They send probably a third of their EU shipments to UK.
I say about 750k-850k. They also seem to restock in US. And if they managed to produce 2 million units not all can be shipped.
250K UK
100k France
100k Germany
~200k+ Rest EU + Latin america
Yeah, that's going to suck hard. Bayonetta sold over a million and was considered not great, this will be bad. It's going to be worse this time since Bayonetta 1 actually sold decently for platinum but the sequel is going to bomb.
Simple: Stuff like Bayonetta is offensive to a large chunk of the Nintendo audience.

Besides, they aren't going anywhere. Stop being so melodramatic.

It's going to be the same here for AU, I mean I guess all launched are supply constrained (duh on me) but.... regardless 250k just seems like a small number to brag about. I'm sure mathematically it's great but it just doesn't play as exciting news to me? Wouldn't just saying "holy shit PS4 sold another million for the EU launch!" be more exciting?
Great news, good on themfor breaking records, hope people like it but .... yeah just doesn't feel exciting to pimp as news!
I think you have that wrong. look at how well received madworld and house of the deadverkill for the wii were.Simple: Stuff like Bayonetta is offensive to a large chunk of the Nintendo audience.
I don't know, they didn't seem to be offended by No More Heroes, so why should Bayonetta be different?
has anyone checked if noobsaur is okay

this isn't even mentioning miyamoto's secret wii u game, which is nintendo's real ace in the hole.
You can't just do that with Nintendo games, they're too intrinsically linked with the unique platforms they're on. You'd literally be ripping the soul out of the subtly crafted gameplay to even attempt something like that. The questions is, will we see Mario on PS4 and Xbone by the end of this gen?

Tallying the launch figures together and comparing it to 360 and PS3, yes it has grown.
As much as I like some of my Wii U games, the failure is all on Nintendo and not the consumer.
The fact that there's a significant portion of people here that either:
a) don't know it exists
b) think it's something to do with the wii and not a standalone product
Is quite telling. It's been a year and the Wii U is still priced at more than it should be, has maybe 3-4 games which can be considered great. Add that to the lacklustre hardware and gimmick controller and it's pretty easy to see why it doesn't sell. If I wasn't interested in games like Pikmin 3, SM3DW and Wonderful 101 I'd laugh at the idea of buying one.
Lol a new meme is bornBF4 has good gameplay but does it have Nintendo Gameplay?
No.The questions is, will we see Mario on PS4 and Xbone by the end of this gen?
I like Knack and I hope we see more of it in the future but celebrating some sales success at the expense of another game that I'm sure is just as deserving is hardly the way i'd like to go about it.Really happy for Knack and Cerny, the game is going to be one of the more under-appreciated games in recent years I think if only because so many were giving it 3s for some dumb shit reason. To see it also outsell Mario is too good.

Laugh it up now, but just wait until bayonetta 2 and X.
I don't follow. Yes, the Wii U had a rough start, but there are signs of a correction taking place. look at how they allowed sqeenix to port all those old dragon quest games to the iphone; your typical forum fanboy would chalk that up as a loss. Please tell me you are a joke poster
No More Heroes has a weird sense of humor. Bayonetta is 'slash the enemies while you fight the PS2-era camera system and if you kill them just right the camera will pan in the right way so you can see an upskirt of your purposefully-designed-to-be-'sexy'-to-the-kind-of-people-who-have-never-seen-a-woman-in-real-life character. Also the game is poorly written and has frame rate problems and isn't fun.
Huge difference. All the difference, really.
Nintendo split their development between 3ds and Wii u, one which has little competition and third parties have been on board with, the other heavy competition that they are now going in alone on. Wii U's future is 5 good games a year.
The questions is, will we see Mario on PS4 and Xbone by the end of this gen?
Sonic did come to the PS2 and GCN after all.
Ghosts has been out longer and killzone was bundled.Good for Killzone outselling Ghotsts like that.
In other words, they both have a weird sense of humor. And I don't see how your personal opinion on the game has any relevance in the discussion.
You wouldn't be able to spam images using stamps for all to see every time you beat a level.Uh... What? That not even a little bit true. There's nothing magical about a box with Nintendo on it that makes games somehow better. Mario, Zelda, and Metroid would still be wonderful games if you could play them on a PS4.
(Not that I think that'll ever hapoen)
