I stumbled on these images from 'The Witness' on their website. They are a month old, but I'm pretty sure many have not seen them, at least not at this resolution. Thought I should leave them here for everyone's viewing pleasure. High resolution images have been linked to each thumbnail. They make fantastic wallpapers/posters!

I cropped the windmill picture for my laptop background. I cannot wait for this game and I can easily see it being one of my favorite games of 2014.

These images are making my iPad 2 struggle to do anything.

Come on baby, I just want them as my wallpaper, it'll be over soon.

Really like the look of the structures, but the outdoor stuff is on the side of mediocre. Not sure what they are going for with that color palette either. So saturated, with odd choice of color compliments.

Not sure what you mean. I thought the saturated look is what makes it so beautiful and unique. It's very subjective, I guess.

I have a question about this game: Do you actually interact or utilize this gorgeous environment in any way? Does it impact the mechanics/gameplay somehow?

Because in all the videos I've seen they only serve as a pretty backdrop to all the arbitrarily distributed puzzle panels spread throughout the island. Please tell the entire "game" part of the game doesn't only exists through those panels.

Supposedly the environment will be giving clues to the panels. Look at the one with the panel in front of the pink trees. You will notice that the panel reflects the tree's branches.

That's difficult to say at this point. They have 500 puzzles. I'm guessing not all of them just involve walking on panels.

Also,

I think the saturated colors are rather beautiful and striking.

By the way, the fact that the description reads 'An exploration-puzzle game on an uninhabited island' probably means that the island is not uninhabited, and perhaps isn't even an island. Also, the title 'The Witness' would also suggest that there is at least two people/explorers/whatever.

How so? 'The witness' could very well refer to the island itself. There was a lot of talk about how the island is trying to tell you a story. May be the island bears witness to something that happened in the past?

Hmmm, that's one step in the right direction, but it'll be disappointing if all the puzzles end up being panels with no variety structurally.
