PS4 and Xbox One France hardware sales.

Spain:
PS4: >80k
XB1: 25k

UK:
PS4: >185k
XB1:140k

Western Europe:
PS4: >500k
XB1: 300k

Kinda surprising.I expected worse for XB1 in France.I guess the PS4 being sold out everywhere has really helped MS.

I'm British, and even I feel like I'm given the shaft by Microsoft's media policies. It should shock nobody that Mainland Europe favours Sony when Microsoft's focus seems so Anglo-American.

Wow, considering that XB1 had a week head start, they really didn't send any supply to Europe. They're probably just focusing on the U.S at this point.

It's expected.

US is truely the last line of defense for Xbone, if Xbone lose sUS, it's PS2 vs Xbox all over again

Europe? Europe.

I'd like to see German ones next. I know a lot of friends who had an Xbox previous gen but switched to the PS4 now. Kinda annoying when your whole friendbase is split, I'm lucky it changed to a certain extent.

Which is a great thing, it might make MS humble enough to actually invest in some great teams/games.

And this time, Microsoft doesn't have a Halo to save it from being nothing more than a Dreamcast 2.0

Yea, just translating the article's estimate numbers. They fail to provide the timeline though.

An awesome start for Sony this gen. I'm sure it will even out eventually. God knows there need to be some competition.

Huh for whatever reason I thought the XB1 would do better there. Guess it's likely more of a supply issue than anything

Except we already have numbers for other regions like AU where 80k were sold upfront. Chances are France got more than 50k units.

In order for it to be Playstation 2 vs Xbox all over again, Sony would have to destroy Microsoft in the United States and consoles would have to be the go to platform for gaming in Japan.

This still doesn't get the publicity it deserves, so much of the Xbox Ones media features simply don't work outside NA, with no indication when they will come onstream!

MS needs to vastly outsell Sony in the US if they have any hope of keeping even with them WW.

Not a chance of that happening. They may yet win December but after Holidays, when the early adopters and fanboys have stopped buying we'll see how much the price difference and the DRM nonsense affects XB1 sales.
