Sure, let's all judge a game we know nothing about!

Hey, all we have right now is the cover to judge it on and honestly it looks pretty dopey. First impressions are everything and so far this looks a little generic. I'm sure the co-op/asymmetrical design is really interesting and progressive, but look at those images released.

It sounds fun, i just hope it isn't always 4v1.. I was more so hoping for levels etc like left4dead, maybe even a full suite of modes, as opposed to always just being the same 4v1.

We will see i guess, gameplay could change my mind completely.

looks like you get to play as a tank like creature from l4d with more cool powers and the 4 players have to find ways to take it down. sounds interesting. could be a lot of fun with friends taking turns as the monster,

I'm interested. 4v1 small team multiplayer is often hard for me, as I'm usually not very good and I hate to drag down a team with my suckage (so I prefer 1vs1 or big 32+ player games). Still I trust the team behind this and the art looks pretty interesting.

Given the increasing size of the monster outline here and the title of the game I'd guess that the monster character is able to change in size and increasing abilities throughout a multi session. If I'm right could be a pretty neat thing, with the player controlling the monster being able to guide a skill build to cater to their specific play style or to combat the player characters better.

I'm guessing the monster that's being hunted will have something to do with the title and have the ability to transform or progress into stronger forms as the game goes on

So is this game going to be online only just like Titanfall and Destiny?
Im seeing this aproach becoming a common trend and I'm not liking it one bit :\

I've always thought l4d series is valve made, guess not
Only 5 person per multiplayer match is disappointing though

Holy crap that sounds awesome. I'd always be the monster lol.

Yeah, if the monster mechanics are fun, I could probably get this in a cheap sale and quit any game that doesn't allow me to be the monster. I've tried so many times to enjoy being a dude with a gun but I can barely do it anymore.

It's like with NS2. Aliens are fun, marines are just dull.

Could be interesting, but I will refrain from speculation until the Game Informer preview is out.

Looks cool. Gives me a Turok vibe.

(can we make a seperate thread for people that are disappointed this reveal isn't the unrealistic fantasy they made up in their head?)

Could be interesting but 4v1 feels a little low. Will need to wait and see.

Yeah, looking at the info again I'm starting to understand that.

That's... odd.

Its confusing me in terms of replayability.. Maybe if the matches are fast and the human-monster rotation is quick, i could see it.
I think map design will also play an enormous part in this, something we haven't seen anything on just yet,

This sounds interesting, but the whole CONCEPT of the game sounds like what should be one of the MODES in a game's multiplayer portion. I don't see how I could possibly buy a game that has one online mulitplayer mode as the entire concept of the game.

I'm actually pretty disappointed after thinking it would be more like L4D in that you go through levels and things like that. This 4v1 PvP thing would have been an awesome additive to a game like that, but not the whole game itself.

I'd be in the dick
The alien must be super powerful if they have to go up against four human players. I wonder how they'll make that work. The game also just sounds like a single mode. I wonder how they'll extend the replay value.

What does CE mean in the title?

Left 4 Dead 1 was developed by Turtle Rock. Valve purchased them before they were finished. Left 4 Dead 2 was made 100% internally at Valve, I believe.

What does the "CE" in the title mean?

Sometimes it's better to keep things simple than to try to cram every bit of information with a thousand abbreviations and brackets in the title...

All these online multiplayer focused games ughhhh. What a dissapointment. I am sure at some point this growing fad will spin out and die with only the truly great games of this genre thriving. Not to say Evolve won't.... but this is just something I could care less about. As of now, Destiny still has my attention over all the others.

I like the idea, and the art style from what little they've shown looks pretty cool. I liked L4D so hopefully this is just as fun. MP games that aren't CoD rip-offs are always refreshing.

Guys, can we at least wait to see some gameplay before being harsh?

I am pretty disappointed that it's online only. Maybe the mod community can make a cool single player mode or something.
