Good picks. The Blob remake was really surprising to me when I saw it a few years ago. The creature really packed a mean punch and the effects were incredibly gruesome. The film caught me off guard several times by just how ruthless it was in knocking off characters in horrible, goopy ways.
I was looking for a .gif of that very moment from Sinister. His design really rattled me for days after seeing the film.

Out of the horror stuff I recently saw, this thing out of The Conjuring probably stands out.

The movie was one of those kinda silly premise yet guilty pleasure watches. Despite her CGness, she was scariest part, especially during that final confrontation. Great. Now I want to watch it again.

This fucker gets me everytime. I think the Communion alien design is the most unsettling for me... too bad they looked fake as shit in the movie, and the film itself was kind of ass.

He was my first shape-shifting monster; it was hard to trust people at face value after seeing T2 for a while. Love his almost lethal elegance though; he's among the prettiest of scary monsters still.
Those stabs, man.
Also really scary how fast he is on foot.
Also funny as hell to watch parents tell kids who saw T2 "you'd better do right, or T-1000 will arrest and kill you."

Eddie Quist from The Howling. I still have to partially cover my eyes during this scene. The best and scariest werewolf designs and more frightening than the ones in AAWiL IMHO

What?! Pumpkinhead doesn't bother me in the least and I hate scary movies.
Then again, that probably has something to do with the fact that as a toddler my mother told me that Pumpkinhead was my dad, since I didn't know who my dad was. So I guess I was never scared of him as a kid.

I disagree. Her quick movements are still scary. I'm going to have to watch this movie, now. I ignored it up until this point.
It's mostly the CG. Close up it doesn't look that great.

I haven't seen the full length movie. but she was hella effective in the short film.
The only thing CG was her hair, the rest was all practical. She's played by a guy in a suit (well, makeup and a mask, anyway). Incidentally, I think it's the same guy from the REC shot posted earlier (the super-skinny one). But I think the look was great, she reminds me of a mummy, something that's been a dead husk for a hundred years. Scared the ever-loving shit out of me the first time I saw it, but now it's got a place on my Halloween watch list every year.
