Never gave a damn about Sonic, but to see those "things" makes me sad as well.

Tails is ok, the rest is bullshit, too many useless bandages, Knuckles is gigantic for no reason, Amy is too slutty, Sonic's legs are too long. The designs for some reason remind me of Uncharted.

The gameplay video though... OMG, they are monsters, especially their dumb faces. It's horrendous. Seeing the video, the Uncharted vibes I felt weren't too far from truth.

Why can't Sega just choose a freakin' direction for the franchise and go there. Every single time they create a new game they just start over from scratch, we've had:

• That "thing" from 2006.
• Werehog.
• Sonic as a knight.
• A sequel to the originals with bad physics.
• Sonic in the 1001 Nights.
• Sonic with super powers.
• New Sonic together with old Sonic.
• Something akin to Galaxy, only worse.

And now this. Imagine if Nintendo changed completely Mario's basics every single game... no wonder they can't build an userbase, they just keep building completely different games where the only stable points are Sonic and the damn rings (a mechanic that has been broken since the very first game).

This [horrible] redesign aside, Sega actually knows its core fanbase quite well. The Sonic series is still huge for 12-14 year olds.
