They say it has been selling well beyond their expectation

This makes me happy as hell. Rune Factory is an amazing series, and I love the work XSEED does.

Sucks about Neverland Co., though :/
I wonder where the franchise will go next.

Bittersweet news. Love the game, love the series. WHY YOU HAD TO DIE, NEVERLAND? ;_;

I feel for the european fans.

Two copies sold? That's not a bomb guys, stop trolling!!!
IIRC, it was at around 47k till December in US. Now, it'll be at over 50k for sure. And this without including digital. It seems the game did great, considering its niche-status.

We've received quite a few inquiries asking about Rune Factory 4 since it's been difficult to find in stores in North America. Don't worry! It's just been selling well beyond our expectations, so we're working as quickly as possible to restock physical copies. We encourage you to periodically check back with retailers since they should be getting more in stock soon. Thanks for making Rune Factory 4 a major success, guys!

I got my copy from the 3DS eShop (no real account system, etc., etc., etc.). Glad to hear the game is doing well (relatively speaking). Should have sold millions of copies, though.

Very glad to hear it. I regretted not buying it last year, but I was running outta cash in a very costly holiday gaming season.

Can't they just publish it on European eShop ? I mean come on, it's not like they have to change something, just put some files on a store.............

If some XSeed PR person see this message, I hope he could clarify about my question...

So I take it it's better than all the other Rune Factory games, then?

(I've never played one)

I would say it falls behind 3. but 4 appeals to more audiences due to being able to play as a boy or girl and having romancable options for both as well.

Didn't XSEED go under (bankrupt)? I hope not but if so man that sucks to see RF4 doing well and they're still gone...

Edit: Nevermind, looks like it was Neverland (the dev) which did.

Which SUCKS.

xseed is just the publisher not creator of the game, and they haven't gone under they are actually very active and making huge steps towards getting more jrpgs on pc as well as bringing us tons of other niche games.

the company that made rune factory 4 has had problems though.

People asking for it in Europe from XSEED befuddle me.
I admit that I was immediately interested with the bankruptcy of Neverland though.

So successful that they don't want to release it in Europe.
So successful the developer imploded!

I really have to wonder how hard it is to get the game region switched on 3DS. Seems like it'd normally be simple enough but who knows this time around. Would've been nice to not have a damn region lock though.

You're thinking Neverland, who developed Rune Factory. XSEED's A-OK still.

EURRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRROPPPPPPPPPPPPPPEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE

Basically this. Seriously, I'm tired of this. Atlus just proved they can publish in Europe on eShop. Yet, none of XSeed or Atlus is doing it. What's wrong with them ?

Xseed has published in Europe though. That being said, it was on the Digitally on the Vita. Nintendo probably requires a European address to publish at all in the Europe.

Is unchained blades on the EU eShop?

They don't require such a thing to publish in Europe.
And no, Unchained Blades isn't on the EU eShop.
