Sony has reached such a level in the world of electronic entertainment that it can afford to remain silent and everything will revolve around them anyway.
Also, let's not forget that the current generation is still underway, there are a few big titles ahead of us, so Sony does not have to start the ps5 campaign right now.

Sony better have something good cooking, because with every day that passes, the disappointment will be bigger. Some are truly believing in RDNA2+14 TF right now. They may have hoped for things to calm down, but it's getting more and more crazy. I bet they don't even know what to do anymore, because they will very likely disappoint. Yeah people are talking about their awesome eye exploding super hot dog number 1 superior hardware just like everyone always does. But at the end of day everyone talks about playstations games which is ultimately what a game system is about.
From what I see though I see more people talking about playstation than xbox. Most of the talking I see about xbox is microsoft talking about how awesome their hardware is and websites repeating that info.

Its out of their control.
It has done wonders for xbox but at the same time though Sony has like several big games coming out in the next few months so folks will be talking about PlayStation from FF7 all the way to Ghost of Tsushima. So Sony could just honestly wait all the way to E3 June and then do hard marketing all the way to PS5's release. I think what would help out folks is if Sony would announce when they would talk about the PS5 rather than us constantly going off rumors over and over again.

PS5 silence simply didn't overshadowed PS4 sales. PS5 is very likely to be pretty similar to Xbox, whose recents announcements other than hardware specs were features already available on PS4 (free? Pro-like updates, Remote Play, PS Now, crossbuy, etc). I'm pretty sure next gen PS will dominate again, because in addiition to all these things Sony will have their exclusive games and BC with at least PS4, which sold over 100M units and counting.
I think Sony wanted to release Dreams, FFVII, TLOU2 and maybe Cyberpunk before hyping PS5.

I am not worried at the moment.

We need an exclusive racing game, a plateformer, a 3 rd person action game, fun family game , an adventure game on launch day or at least in the month after launch.

Adaptive controller ? But it's already available now.
What about their next Xbox controller ? Is it innovative ? Because Sony's DS5 is clearly bringing something new to the table with rumored 2 back buttons and confirmed adaptive triggers and haptic feedback.
I guess they conveniently forgot to talk about the new DS5 features ?
I mean, sure they showed their box, but who cares about the shape of their PC tower ? What does it bring to gaming and gamers ?

Precisly what I'm thinking. They got caught with a lower powered box and are trying to revise the hardware at this point. If that the case, they'll cancel PS5 release for this year. As I understand it, changing hardware to retain more power isn't as simple as flipping a switch. Alot of work has to be done. We'll see...
