It's all about the Trojan Horse effect. No company really gives a shit that fat, mentally-ill, black, trans, lesbians, should be able to adopt children. People tell me to ignore them, but I hate the fact that they are altering my media that I consume, I can handle small changes but when it goes too far thats when it pisses me off.
I can sense that it is slowly going to creeping into 2000ad (British comic home to Judge Dredd) now that if that starts to affect the live action TV new series they have been working on for quite some time, I’m going to be pissed off.
Years ago the comic it used to be offensive (as well as cheesy) even though you knew it was full of political stuff but as a kid that goes over your head, now it’s gotten tamer recently and I follow a lot of the newer artists & writers on social media & see their type of posts, some who are allegedly going to work on the new Dredd TV show & now doesn’t give me much hope for it before somewhere during the early seasons it goes woke, hopefully it doesn’t but we are living in this time, so I wouldn’t be surprised.
Especially as some of it has creeped into the comic in very small spots but thats how it starts, like a damn virus.
As bad as it was in, some places at least we got Preacher series, ooh boy was that extremely offensive in places, good job it went by undetected, sure they would probably ban it in the future when the lame people discover it.

That's pretty much it. Scientifically speaking, the matter is quite clear. The human brain works to survive even when there is no danger. That means the brain is always creating new problems. Just google it, it's not fiction but fact.
This whole woke topic has two causes, based on the fact just mentioned. First, people are simply too well off and you "need" a new (common) problem. The second reason is not to have a goal in life or not to see a meaning in life. A goal or a meaning in life is nothing else than having a problem. When I solve a problem, I reach my goal or meaning.
In other countries, where there are still real problems that are clearly visible to everyone, this development does not exist. The same applies to countries or regions with a more "traditional" lifestyle. In this context, this does not mean that you have become antiquated, but rather that you are given values and morals that are often defined by your parents (or other, yourself, etc.). Morals and principles carry you through difficult times and determine the behaviour of a person, even if he is consciously not able to do so. Without strong principles and morals you are simply a victim of your emotions. And this has been well researched: If you only live by your emotions, you can assume that you are already mentally ill or will be very soon.
Ultimately, all this fits perfectly into the picture that mental illness is on the rise and people no longer have strong values and morals. So you could actually say that we are regressing as human beings.

I don't necessarily see the climate change movement as a major part of the wokeness movement, it's more the typical trendy do-goodness and trying to effect positive change through wilfully ignorant and inefficient means.
Those who are truly "woke" seek to censor, suppress, and in some cases even exterminate (antifa) those who disagree with them. The climate change movement are more interested in strict regulation coupled with new-energy innovations to limit the destruction of the environment, and while they often jump onto inefficient bandwagons like an uninformed mob (bio-degradable plastic bags and electric cars are often worse for the enviroment for example), they ultimately don't foam at the mouth with hatred at anyone who drives a SUV or owns stock in the Shell Corporation. And unlike the "woke" mob who believes there are 50 genders, there is actual science to back up arguments made by the climate change movement.

And like they bring up in the video, 'First World Problems' shouldn't be ignored, as they are very real issues that we need to learn how to navigate since today's third world will be tomorrow's first world and also have to deal with it, but at a MUCH larger scale (as major population densities are all in the third world). If we can't learn to balance things like social inequality, fringe alienation, and political division with individual freedoms, economic (capitalistic) opportunity, and level headed public forums in the west (which has had a slow buildup and hundreds of years of relative stability) what are the chances that countries that were once failed states led by strongmen and dictators will be able to in 30-some years?

But also every culture and ideology and trend has a sweet spot... golden mean, once you pass it too much then there’s too much fake ego involved and it will morph into another form. It's the double standard that gets me. This (quite popular) Korean girl group has a song called "Yes or Yes" where the entire premise of the song is that the guy must [insert verb] the girl (whether it's date or have sex or whatever it is, purposefully vague). They even have lyrics like:
- "I'll say no to your no"
- "I'll respect your choice but I reject your rejection"
- "There's no letters N & O, I'll erase them from today"
- "To make it simple, whatever you choose you'll be with me"
Obviously this is totally hyperbolic (and satirical) and I don't believe the song is about coerced interaction with someone. It's meant to be romantic....

This. It's not just the ideology they espouse though. These colleges are indoctrinating students AND sending them home with $50,000 of debt they will never be able to repay, because that money was used to pay for a worthless degree. I don't think your average college "educated" student these days could think of any solution out of the mess they are in except for communism.
