I gave up on gears 5 after the helicopter boss fight that was worse then every helicopter boss fight in 50 cent blood on the sand

Uncharted 4 is fantastic I think it's a little long in the tooth or more specifically it just isn't at its best near the end especially that terrible boss battle which is especially bad on harder difficulties and I think the story doesn't quite hit the right note as it feels like it's going to be a bit more serious but kind of reins it in by the end... All of that said the gameplay experience is probably the best in the entire franchise. the combat arenas are bigger, more vertical and accustom more variety but any other entry. The visuals being absolutely jaw-dropping and the set-piece scripted moments being the best in the business help things as well. I recommend people play it on harder difficulties.

Gears 5 gameplay is stuck in 2006.

I agree with this, I loved the first gears of war when it came out. beat it on insane difficulty got nearly every achievement even the multiplayer ones and I didn't really care for the multiplayer the thing was my friends liked it and back then I was kind of more likely to do what my friends wanted to do. I came back to it a few years back and didn't really enjoy it anymore, the truth is it was outdone so fast at its own game never mind that it was never as good as stuff that it was imitating like resident evil 4. the only problem with saying it's stuck in 2006 is how many games play better than it that came out before that year including resident evil 4 or F.E.A.R. or Half-Life 2.

Uncharted 4 had a lot of problems. Bad pacing, no supernatural twist, only one ok setpiece. I still voted for it over Gears 5 because that game was so mediocre I forgot about it a week after I'd finished it.
I was glad Uncharted 4 didn't have anything supernatural in it. I liked the set pieces too, at least 4 of them

Uncharted 4 and it's not even close. The characters, the graphics and the story were all too notch and the gameplay was really fun. My second favorite of the series after Uncharted 2.

Gears 5 had an amazing first act. I loved everything about it. Great action, awesome set pieces and JD really started coming into his own as a lead character. And then.... Everything went to shit, I hated the switch to Kait, I never found her to be a compelling character. I really didn't enjoy the story after the first Act and I found the game a bit boring. Act 3 was the biggest waste of time ever.

I already make peace to myself and waving goodbye to Nathan Drake...knowing that Uncharted 4 is probably gona be the last good Naughty Dog game before Druckman ruin it to the ground

I absolutely loved Uncharted 4, it's probably still my GOTG.

Still the most beautiful game I've ever play as well, I think. With the possible exception of The Lost Legacy.

Any games you put on NeoGaf PlayStation will always win.

I dare you to find two equivalent games where the Xbox would win on Gaf
Switch or Pc games have a chance methinks

Rafe Adler is my favourite antagonist. It took me until my second playthrough to appreciate him. I loved platinuming it. I didnt like Sam Drake although he was likable in Lost Legacy.

Gears 5 is not trying to be a movie. It takes my vote.

Gears 5 has roughly 11 hours of single player content with 1Hr:30mins of cutscenes.
Uncharted 4 has roughly 17 hours of single player content with roughly 2hr:40mins of cutscenes.

Uncharted 4 has more gameplay.

And most of this gameplay is climbing and pushing crates.

How does one vote?

Having played both, Gears 5 all the way.

Both have great graphics
Both have intuitive and great controls
Gears is just more fun to play.
Uncharted 4's story is what makes you keep playing.
Uncharted played once, beat it, and done.
Gears 5, still playing. Replayed Campaign with friends. Multiplayer is always a blast.

So yeah, call me old school gamer but when a games gameplay is what keeps me going and makes me look forward to play it over and over, that is a good game.

Hence, my vote foes to Gears 5.

You might be thinking of The last of us with the pushing crates idea but there's definitely climbing in uncharted 4. That said gears 5 has plenty of moments where you slowly walk in a tunnel and talk to the other character which are masked loading screens and has lots of cinematic variety type moments. Neither game is metal gear solid 5 or dark souls or something.

Bahahaha

It absolutely is trying be a big Hollywood blockbuster. And it's trying HARD. It just doesn't do it very well.

Now if you prefer a dumb story with dumb characters and loud non stop bang bang, then it might be more your cup of tea and that's alright.

There are plenty of crates in uncharted 4. It's a ND tradition.

Well it's certainly not the element that lingers in my mind. Some of the climbing segments legitimately do though, while people like to point out the lack of effort required to pass a climbing segment in one of these games they fail to grasp that doesn't preclude them being entertaining and they often are. I also wonder when people talk about how easy the climbing is are they the same people who play through the game on easy difficulty or normal? to be fair this doesn't change the difficulty of the climbing but it does affect the combat and whenever I see people talking about the game having subpar combat I'm picturing someone playing it on normal or even worse easy.

Where's my lie? I loved U4 but it has the most basic style of gameplay that's been around since the 90s. Story, characters and cutscenes are on a different level obviously but gameplay wise? No lie
Uncharted 4 animations in gameplay alone already puts it ahead of the pack
Realistic melee
The rope which added verticality to the gameplay
The shooting is good too

Gears 5 was fun to play and I thought the graphics were pretty good and it ran extremely well with high framerate and amazing visuals on PC. Great game if you are bored and want to blast some stuff. Probably one of the best Xbox games in the last 7 years or so besides Forza.

Uncharted 4 is my favorite Uncharted game with a lot of depth and a clear evolution on previous Uncharted games which made the game felt much more mature. Granted a lot of people disliked the pacing and the more serious nature of the game, but for me it was an outstanding achievement of game design and a great ending to the Uncharted series and another technical masterpiece by the hands of Naughty Dog.

So an easy choice for Uncharted 4 for me.

Lol. This site is worst than before. I thought after the whole mess it would improve and rejoined it recently, but the only 2 replies to my question are from dumb fucks.lol.

If anyone cares to let me know how to vote, then please reply

I dont like your seeding and matchmaking its terrible.
Look..
You put Prey against Dark Souls 3, Bloodborne against Sekiro, these great games against each other so early, then you proceed to put two weak games here against each other, you should have seeded the games better.
Even then the whole system of knockout is not good, too much waste of matches, could be a thread and users will vote by listing their 5 or 10 games of the generation and from those mentions you take the top 10 and create a poll from them, easy, simple, straight to the point.
