What do you think of Easy Allies?

I like Jones a lot and have enjoyed their podcast the last few weeks even though Kyle left. I was actually about to start subbing on pattern but The Isla news made me decide not too. Everything's going to be about him and his mental issues now.

Sure, but does it have to be a 10 minute video explaining it almost everytime this happens? Especially with that bollocks intro thing.
 
I watched a review or two from them, it was alright.

But the only gaming personalities/podcasts/shows I follow is Jaffee and Michael Does Life.
 
I am shocked at how you peeps actually think these guys are any good. I get the whole just wanting to hang out with some guys, and they seem nice, but thats about it. These guys are literally what redletter makes fun of with The Nerd Crew. Just blind ethusiasm, and zero talent. I cannot think of a better example than what RedLetter makes fun of with Nerd Crew.

They are absolutely fucking atrocious. I will say Kyle Bosman has some talent, and has some interesting stuff to say. He could be part of good team. On his own, not sure he has enough to say.

Some of these clowns are an absolute joke. Huber? Like wtf. Why would anyone want to watch this product of rape, who shreiks at everything and has nothing interesting to say. Just embarrassing. And that skinny guy with aspergers, who looks like he aint ever eaten. Bloodworth. Not even sure this guy deserves to be alive much less showing his hideous face on YT. I cannot fathom anyone being interested in what they have to say.

Ian reminds me of that annoying friend who reads a lot of pop culture sites, and is of average intelligence, but thinks he is far smarter than he actually is. He's not quite as bad as the rest, but a little obnoxious. And his comedy stylings on Gametrailers. Holy shit that was embarrassing.

There's another useless twerp among em. Ben. Brandon Jones has never said an interesting thing in his whole life. But hey! They seem nice. So I guess that makes up for them being useless and shreiking like banshees.

I didn't realize how much Kyle carried them until he left. I used to watch daily for years, now maybe once every couple months.
 
I always enjoy Blood. Something about his calm, relaxed manner. He's always enthusiastic and articulates his thoughts well.
I'm not a Huber fan, but he teams up well with Blood, who offsets Hubers frantic nature.
Brandon and Ben do a good job also.

Pretty much, but I think other than Kyle's original Final Bossman show on Gametrailers all his solo stuff after that has been awful including his stints at Game Awards. He is okay when he was a host and his interaction with guys like Damiani were fun to listen to.

I think Kyle should either bring bag Final Bosman or join a team of other podcasters where he can host cause his solo stuff ain't good.

Ian/Isla seems to have good humour about it though. I watched the entire video and genuinely chuckled at the "gay whore" thing at the very end. Doesn't seem to be too uptight about it.
 
I think they have become useless. I tried to listen to them when GT closed? then again a couple of times between.

Still hey are much better than the guys that are left at Kinda Funny, they're completely clueless.

This really sounds like something a shadow version of a helper would say. Instead of helping, it's about being the opposite of a helper and making things more miserable :D
 
I personally like them a lot, most of gaming related websites or gaming forums soooooo overly negative about everything but they are chill and mostly postive, it fun and relaxing to listen to.

I have been with these guys since GT days in invisible wall podcast.

KF was decent until Colin left. When KF got lame Easy Allies took over. When Easy Allies got lame LSM took over.

The gaming YT pundit space has come full circle.
 
I still listen to their podcast/GOTY discussion during work, and their video reviews are pretty good. I agree the quality go down during COVID, hopefully their dynamic will get better once they all return to the studio.

Not sure about meat and potatoes gaming podcasts / review crews. There is far highter quality stuff than this on YT, but 1/2 of Siftds podcast Gameface, Matt Kyle, he is decent. Fairly smart dude with interesting enough opinions. Don't think super highly of Shane Satterfield, but he's aight. Not like I am head over heels over it, but its solid.

My friends are into all these gaming shows on YT, and some of it is pretty high quality, from what I remember. Noclip has good gaming docs. Leadhead and Joseph Anderson does some really cool stuff. Think this stuff isn't really meat and potatoes type shit, more like analysis and critques. Its legit quality though. Check em out. Think Skill Up does weekly roundup of videogames news and believe its solid.

I need to try more conventional gaming podcasts, but in my experience they tend to be quite poor. I mean nothing quite as hysterical as Easy Allies, where its a bunch of guys who happily shreik like children. I need to spend time finding some more stuff, but you gotta wade through an unholy amount of shit before that happens.

They are fine. But they definitely represent the geekiest corner of the gaming sphere. They're absolutely cornball and some people like that. They don't bother me so hope they're having a great time.

kyle carried them, and even then he only usually managed to carry them to mediocrity.

their reviews are kinda vacuous now but it really is the goat video game review voice.
 
I thought Isla transitioned ages ago. There were more than enough signs. The video was pretentious shite but otherwise whatever makes them happy.

He really is.
Brandon and Stuttering Craig were/are the best voices. Brandon sounds like the legit pro radio voice and Stuttering Craig is the MTV pop culture version of it.
I really miss both 2008-2014 Gametrailers and 2008-2014 Screwattack. Good times!

Gametrailers was the greatest review site back in the day. Easy Allies, their successors are not quite as great as they once were but they are still one of the best game critic groups in the space.

I typically find it difficult to find sites that match my often anti bandwagon viewpoints on gaming but can only think of a couple games over the last decade where they rated a game more/less than 0.4 +/- away from what I would have given it myself before watching the review. They are the only people who have gotten me to subscribe to a Patreon for.

Wtf? No one is playing any cards. This is someone's happiness, self worth, and mental health we are talking about. Im really happy for Isla, thats a brave step to make. The world is already hard enough without being accused of having an ulterior motive for coming out.
 
Imagine driving down the street and seeing someone bashing their head on the ground and saying, "Well good for them. If that makes them happy and they aren't hurting anyone else I'm all for it. What a brave individual."
 
Their reviews are usually inline to my points of view regarding games.

Come on man. She didn't transition as a marketing ploy for Easy Allies.

Though to be fair I do think they'll now labble any complains about her as transphobia even though plenty of people have disliked her from waaay before she began transitioning
