It's that time again. The newest entry in the longest running franchise in film, James Bond. SPECTRE is the 24th in the series, and comes off the back of Skyfall - the single highest grossing and most critically acclaimed in the entire history of the franchise.
This is categorically false.

For anyone wondering, I couldn't find a decent photo of Monica Bellucci to use, so that's why I added pat sharp

This is categorically false.

I'm gonna guess it's referring to the RT aggregate.

Casino Royale: 95%, 210 fresh, 12 rotten, average score 7.8/10, Top Critics 50 Fresh, 2 Rotten, average score 7.8/10.

Skyfall: 93%, 315 fresh, 25 rotten, average score 8.2/10, Top Critics 46 Fresh, 4 Rotten, average score 8.3/10

If those are the numbers being used (probably are) then it holds up. It got more positive reviews (more reviews overall, of course) and a higher average score from those reviews.

Has everyone seen the new fight clip posted on their Facebook page? It kinda felt...boring to me? It will probably work better in context.

Anyone else got their tickets for tomorrow?

I've just finished off my 23 film marathon, been working at it for the last couple of months (same as before with Skyfall, QoS, CR and DaD). Dalton is still GOAT

I'm gonna book my tickets tomorrow and probably watch Casino Royale, Quantum of Solace and Skyfall before I go watch Spectre on the 30th.

I thought the same, but apparently Goldfinger is at 96% with an 8.5/10 average rating. It has way less reviews of course.

Yerp, 8 P.M. Saw Sam Smith performing "Writing's On The Wall" on Graham Norton the other night, thought I'd just listen to maybe give it some sort of chance but nope, still sounds awful and dreadfully boring. Listening to it sounds like it's a normal Smith song, but listening to Lana Del Rey's one sounds like it's a song that's a bit of a departure from her normal stuff (which is the way it's supposed to be I guess). I'm just going to play 24 in my head instead during the intro.

The song has grown on me. I don't love it but I don't mind it now.

For a while I was worried it was going to be crap due to the script leaks, and also, recently Daniel Craig's negativity during an interview (which made me think the production must have been awful). However, the reviews so far seem pretty good, so I am bit more hyped to see it. Im going to see it tomorrow evening, so will give some feedback then :)

So uh....Christoph Waltz is obviously
Blofeld
, right? I haven't read the leaked script - although I know first hand there have been changes.

Why in the world would they choose to open on a Monday?

who knows! I booked the week off anyway (it's my daughter's birthday this week, wouldn't have otherwise!) so whatever

damn, this time tomorrow I'll be having a pizza at pizza express and then going into see a new bond film. good stuff

hoooly fuck, these clips

the train scenes....they're fantastic. a callback to FRWL:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3DrMdQhz53Q

It's a clear callback to the first film that explicitly featured SPECTRE. A high class dinner on a train followed by a brutal fight, with the only sounds to be heard being two men trying to kill eachother.

Not gonna watch the clips but that description sounds amazing. The train scene in FRWL is a top 3 Bond scene.
