In order:
1. Street Fighter II (NES). My young mind couldn't even begin to contemplate the awesomeness of playing the arcade juggernaut in the comfort of my own home. No quarters, endless continues, and, as it turned out, pretty amazing fidelity to the arcade version)
2. Zelda II (NES). The hype was nearly unbearable, and then those bastards delayed the game. It nearly killed me.
3. Halo 2 (Xbox). Halo CE rocked my world. Unlike most of the ninnies on this board, I liked Halo 2 almost as much.
4. KOTOR (Xbox). Star Wars RPG hotness. I didn't see how it could do anything wrong. It almost didn't.
5. Resident Evil 2 (PS). I thought Resident Evil was sublime, and I figured this follow-up would be even better. It was.
6. Final Fantasy VII (PS). I loved the earlier games on the NES, and at the time this game appeared to promise mind-blowing presentation.
7. NHL2k3 (Dreamcast). True, next-gen hockey. At least, that's what I was anticipating. Still a fantastic game.
8. Halo 3 (Xbox 360). See Halo 2.
9. Double Dragon (NES). Probably my most misplaced hype ever. I just really loved the arcade version for some reason.
10. Ninja Gaiden (Xbox). NG demo probably was my favorite of all time. The full game did not disappoint.
