Fine, listen: I've hooked up with a person from GAF before, and I was ready for an f'n train. I don't know how to respond. You lose, people. Enjoy your sexless anniversary.

In Juli I'm celebrating 7 years on NeoGaf. While I haven't been an very active poster all the time, I do enjoy it here. Especially the E3 gifs that come out from this place. Pure love.

Believe it or not, there are more good Olimario stories from after he was removed from GAF.

He actually stayed with us in our hotel for e3 2004 or 2005 I think. He was a little quirky but a nice guy overall. Pretty quiet. We made DVDs that year. I'll have to do an olimario super cut.

I was 19 in '04. You guys are young. Jeez.

Been here for more than 3 years! I pretty much joined to talk in the Deus Ex HR topic and well I love the community.

If ThoseDeafMutes is now a mod, does that mean that I'll become a mod next year?!

It's the quiet ones you always have to watch out for.

10 years since you were made a mod and you think things have got worse?

Interesting.

The board has gotten cleaner and more PC (which isn't bad), but the population has increased tenfold since the old days, which naturally makes for worse discussion. Have you not noticed the drop in quality threads over the past two years, even?

Lurked starting in '07 at the start of last generation. I was a member of the PSU forums for quite a while before seeing the grass was greener over here.

It's ridiculous how much this forum has taught me. And while there is a lot of "white noise" now that more people post here, it's also proportionally brought a lot of great insights and threads.

I do miss the photoshop threads, where people would post an innocent picture and GAF would go nuts with it. Either I keep missing them or they just don't happen. We don't have HUGE threads often either. Not like the 'Go ly down' or the hannah/amateur porn thread.

I used to lurk since the days of the Gaming-Age forums, but I didn't become a member until Jan 1st 2012, though with NeoGaf's waiting period I swear I actually signed up for an account some time around October 2011.

Those threads exist, but with so many people posting so many topics, it's very easy to miss most of them. I used to peruse all of GAF and post what I wanted to say in under 30m when I had time, and now with time it would be north of an hour just to read. Gotta self-select.

Signal to noise, but that noise is alot of other people's signals, ya know?

I honestly can't remember when I joined old Neogaf. Would have likely been 1999 or 2000 though. Few guys from AnimeonDVD.com clued me into the site.

I joined neogaf on (Join Date:) 06-09-2004. My 10th year with y'all!!!! i was 25 years old back then.

I remembered there was EZboard neogaf which went down i think before i joined this one.

Edit: wrong date. sorry.

I still remember joining NeoGAF back when I was working at Acclaim and it was all shiny and new. Seems like a lifetime ago.

Also, I completely forgot about olimario (thankfully). I can only imagine the post-ban stories.
