I think it's more of a tech savvy + vidyagames definition these days. A career in tech/vidyagames is a plus, although it's a minus (for me) if you're just eyecandy during gadget segments.

Although, if you're attractive enough you can basically say "OMG I love Star Wars, I'm such a geek," and still get credit from droolies.

I'd put our own H.Protagonist on the list, but that'd be pretty creepy of me.

Edit-Let me add that the "wow pretty women get bonus points because they like geek stuff" is kind of missing the point. Of course a woman is going to be more appealing to me if she likes the same things I like. If I am into sports, and an attractive woman is into sports, that just makes her more attractive to me. Why is that hard for people to accept?

I think some are wary that some women say they are into "nerd culture" because they know it'll attract attention. Others object to the fact that being into "nerd culture" is something special; of course women are going to have interests.
