Putting aside the wokeness, it doesn't look so bad

Better than the new Dante game

Outside woman medieval knight (lmao), with those spaghetti arms, she wouldn't even be capable of lifting a sword, much less fighting

Thought it looked cool, reminds me of KCD with all the details on armors, weapons and environments.

Thing is I thought that protag was a boy lol. Call me sexist or whatever but knowing it's a girl soured my hype. I can buy a female spy, a space bounty hunter and whatever else but when we enter realistic and historical settings then I have to start pondering if what I'm seeing on the screen is believable or not, and here, it is not.

That haircut is like
"Fighting medieval soldiers in the morning, going to a climate/lgbt march in Berlin in the evening"

Waiting for impressions on this one. The combat seems like it could be interesting but that framerate needs work. Here's their combat description:

Experience thrilling sword fighting in cinematic combat inspired by Historical European Martial Arts and animated with the help of trained Performance Capture actors.

Use Aeta's martial knowledge to surprise and overcome your enemies by strategically choosing between 2 different combat stances, one and two-handed. Find skill books throughout your adventure to unlock new combos and personalize Aeta's swordplay with different weapon parts.

I like the idea of sword weapon parts like a loadout in a shooting game.

So I just played the demo of this game. I tried going in with an open mind even though the dev made that modern audience comment and you play as an angry lesbian with a bowl cut.

Pros:

voice acting is pretty good
environment graphics are pretty good

Cons:

you clip through a lot
lots of pop in
you move a curser around with a controller on the menus, hate that
the combat isn't great, basically one hand or two hand attacks, trying to break their guard, and it's only one on one fights, immediate heal with no heal animation
characters look weird in general
they use the A button for jumping and ducking and climbing like it's Gears 1
You press RT to pick up items, but RT also pulls out your sword, so if you pull out your sword on accident, you can't pick up items while holding the sword so you have to press down to sheath and then press RT on the item to pick it up.
this short demo already has 2 push crates to jump ups

The irony of this gif is that Guts very casually dodged that swing like it was a child throwing a haymaker at him lol. Btw, in that same anime, Casca was exhausted after killing only like 2 or 3 guys and Guts had to literally step in between her and the rest of their enemies to save her ass before telling her to run.

You are leaving out that she was on her period, if I am not mistaken.

OR was that after? It's been a long time.

That particular part where she attacks Guts, I don't know, but when they were fighting off that platoon with the massive dude with the flail was after I believe.

Alright. I'll bite. What is this anime I should be watching apparently?
It's one of the most iconic manga of all time.
Unfortunately it received MORE THAN ONE anime adaptation and they've all been flawed in a way or another so far.

RavageX RavageX in defense of the man who took Miura's place continuing the series, I would say that it was going downhill for a while even before the original author died.

I think movies they made more than 10 years ago are the best, they actually don't end with cliffhanger like 1999 anime. ~2016 anime is... something.

I tried demo of this game and while it looks ok graphically it's also buggy and mediocre as fuck.

Just tried the demo. Man, this is a real piece of amateur trash. I kind of hate how accessible UE5 is. It lets unskilled devs quickly make something that looks good in screenshots but technically is way beyond their capabilities in actual practice. This thing is a technical mess. Probably one of the most temporally unstable images I've ever seen in a game even maxed out.

Nauseatingly narrow FOV to boot.

I've said the same thing before a few times here and to buddies. UE5 lets any retard make a game.

Shit sucks.

Absolutely awful demo, enemies engage 1 at a time, combat is very rough, several bugs and graphical glitches, and just a boring contrite story.

The voice acting and dialog is proper z-tier amateur shit.

I believe they are meant to have famous voice actors. If that's the case, then they have gotten some terrible directing for 90% of the crap coming out of the characters' mouths.

It sounds like the arts department's stage play put on by first years.

You don't have to expel your entire breath from your lungs at the end of every sentence, literally no one talks like that.

This game feels 1-2 years away from ready and it's coming out next month. Ha!

At this point maybe they should fully pander to the alphabets, might be the only way they get any sales.

They might as well. They're already sucking up to an imaginary audience of die hard feminists, might as well include the alphabet freaks as well.

Watching Asmongold play this I was wondering who the intended audience was. Also, it does so many things wrong with level design that I cannot stand. In that regard, it is nothing like Kingdom Come, which is actually realistic. This game has the rock corridors, rock ledges, crawl under a tree BS level design that is so common with modern games. The demo has your friend walk back to town right before you do, yet she would have had to jump across a large gap in a broken bridge, across this very rough terrain, yet gets back to town and gets kidnapped before you can get there. Right off the bat, the game is unrealistic as all hell. Not to mention the gameplay is lacking and there is no blood during combat and no indication of any damage you are doing. His assessment of 3/10 is pretty accurate. I will look forward to the developer blaming me for the poor sales.

A new launch trailer provided a window into the world of 1348 Ex Voto, an action-adventure where you play as a knight-errant in Medieval Italy. The game stars Alby Baldwin and Jennifer English, and it's out today on PlayStation and PC.
