Double check your full transaction details in PP. It shows the breakdown of actual payment source. For some dumb reason it shows the total overall cart cost and treats the coupon as part of that total.

Took me like 30 minutes to finally get a combination of gift cards that didn't give an error while checking out. I ended up getting $20 Steam and $55 eBay.
