Doctors in India have extracted 232 teeth from the mouth of a 17-year-old boy in a seven-hour operation.

"At first, we couldn't cut it out so we had to use the basic chisel and hammer to take it out.

"According to medical literature available on the condition, it is known to affect the upper jaw and a maximum of 37 teeth have been extracted from the tumour in the past. But in Ashik's case, the tumour was found deep in the lower jaw and it had hundreds of teeth."

Nnnynok. Those images made me a little nauseous.

Although I wonder if they are chiseling into his jaw and breaking out fragments-o-teeth... are they counting the fragments as teeth? Someone examine them and get back to me.

I make very few generalizations about races and ethnicities.... but why... why oh why does it seem like stories like this seem to always come from India, or southeast Asia?

I realize how gross a generalization that may seem, but really, it just seems like these stories always originate there.

I turned to Google and thus the internet sinkhole of Yahoo answers for this, and got mixed results.

Why the fuck does all this shit happen in India

Are they evolving into something else
Beaten to a pulp.

Is it me or is there something in India that causes all these strange mutations. Every time I read about something freakish its mostly India or China.

Poor kid.

If you don't want to look at the images, most of the teeth were very small. It's not what you'd imagine 232 teeth would look like.

I've always wondered why it seems that so many conjoined/parasitic twin/extra limb stories come out of India. Population numbers? Environment? Selective reporting?
They've got massive issues with lead in their environment (due to paint) and river pollution in general, wouldn't be surprised if this was related to those sorts of issues.
