Aww, the desertbots have scarves :3

Hoooot daaaaaaaaaamn. Never played any Taro game before but that announcement for Steam fucking sold me on everything. I need this game (my most anticipated release after Persona 5, in fact). Please also consider a NieR port to PC, please please please please please.

edit: Sorry for portbegging. Game looks incredible.

And even more on PC! :P

every time we get this response. Yes we know PC is the best. Ffs

Is this game 30fps on consoles?

So every game thread from now on will have a ton of posts saying how much better it will look on the PS Pro?
Followed by a load more saying how much better it will look on PC?

I am already hating this multi PS4 future.

Yes it's annoying as hell. I can understand someone bought a pro and they're excited but then the PC crowd has to remind everyone that PC will be better.

There are different robots, flying ones, gliding ones, walking ones, giants, small ones and all.

If by variation you mean something that isn't a robot, than most probably not, since a war against robots is what the game is all about.

I mean after the end of Nier
that's the only thing left.

Has been this way since the rumours started lol

Word I hope the PC port is good because I'm probably gonna keep my regular PS4.

P* past ports have been decent enough I'd say, no reason to worry unless you got really specific wishes.

It's 60FPS on PS4.

So excited to play this.

And good to see that PS4 Pro buyers will be joining in with PC owners as posting solely about how bad games look now : )

Art is really nice in some places (still not a fan of the main characters' design) so it makes up for how previous gen it looks technically.
Why do you hate thighs NEO0MJ?! >:(

Gotta put those lesser beings in their place, I guess.

Its fucking obnoxious with both.
Its always X will be better than Y.
Every single time.
I can understand this point of view, but not one which makes a difference between comparative posting concerning PS4 and Pro and concerning either of them and PC.

Someone can say "I can't wait to see this on PC" and of course that's fine. it's the constant replying that makes it seem like they need to remind people in case they forgot.
I cancelled my Pro preorder and will be putting that money towards a better CPU so I'm not trying to take sides here. I just find it childish

Can you use NVIDIA's DSR on TVs? I feel like the game could probably hit 5K at 60 without having to sacrifice a thing. Game looks stunning to me aesthetically, but it doesn'the look like they are using resource heavy graphics tech.

Yup, DSR works on a TV.

I like the environments and the overall aesthetic. The game looks really good in motion. 4K 60 fps fast paced combat with a variety of cool abilities in an open world is just going to be a dream to play.

wait wtf, people saying game looks bad now?

As a person who followed cavia soft for ages, this looks like 3 generation ahead of anything I've seen from them. This looks fucking insanely good.

This is the bottom line. Compared to what Drakengard 1, 2, 3 and Nier looked like, this is clearly a gen ahead in most ways from the original Nier, which was by far the best looking game Yoko Taro has ever been in charge of.

I wish people were talking more about the games and less about numbers. This PC gamer mentality that has been injected to console gaming in the last 5-6 years (and which is the reason why things like PS4Pro/Scorpio exist) is super annoying.I miss the simpler times of past console generations.

Yeah... back when people used to talk about how much better SNES games looked and sounded than Sega games and vice versa. Or how the PS had better performance in 3d games than the Saturn. I've been gaming since the 80s and the numbers game has always been around. Those were the main articles in Game fan and EGM most of the time.

I've been gaming since the late 80's as well and i don't remember that much of an obsession with technical performance as it is now.Or maybe it was the same and i have this impression due to the lack of internet back then.I don't know but i feel a lot of people are missing the point of this hobby with this obsession for more and more graphics power.

Slowdown, better sound, loading times, meg size on the carts, 8 bit, 16 bit, 32 bit, 64 bit, which had the most colors, so on and so on.

Most of these were used as buzzwords too for magazine ads. I felt like technical wars back in the day were WAY more ruthless between console manufacturers. The talk of graphics tech and hardware tech have been around since I started reading gaming mags probably around 1990. The push for graphics and the discussion of it has been around as long as Space Wars has been around. It's nothing unusual.

I like to play games. I don't care about graphics. What I care about is performance, which affects game-play. And Nier looks to be as smooth as silk.
